Residential Christmas Light Installation in Southlake, TX
Southlake houses tend to be large, set back from the street and built with stone, steep roofs and multiple gables. We plan a display that suits that scale, lease you the LED, install it, keep it working all season and take it away in January.
✓ Estates and acreage lots ✓ Leased LED, cut to fit ✓ Insured, 4.5 stars on Google

Your Southlake Season, Start to Finish
Six pieces of work, all handled by our crews, so you never set up a ladder against a two-story stone facade.
01
A plan sized to the house
On a 5,000-square-foot home with several roof planes, we choose which elevations face the street and focus the light there instead of outlining every edge.
04
Repairs on call
Wind or a stray bulb can darken a section. Phone the office during business hours and a crew is sent back to fix it.
02
Lights you never own
We lease the commercial-grade LED and cut each strand to the length of your eave, ridge or column, so corners stay crisp on stone and stucco.
05
Post-holiday removal
Once the season wraps up, every strand, clip and timer comes off, usually in early January, without scuffing stone or tile.
03
Oaks, drives and gates
Post oaks, live oaks, long driveways and entry gates are common on Southlake lots, and each can be wrapped or lined to lead the eye to the front door.
06
Stored until next fall
The display is packed and labeled for your house and held in our storage, ready for the same layout next year.

Designing for Southlake's Large Lots and Steep Roofs
Southlake's zoning runs from 20,000- and 30,000-square-foot lots up to one-acre, two-acre and even five-acre residential estates, so many houses sit well back from the road behind lawns, trees and long drives. Some older homes from the 1980s and early 1990s are single-story ranches or large traditional houses on an acre or more, while newer streets such as Shady Oaks, opened in 2012, offer Tuscan, Tudor and French-country exteriors of roughly 4,000 to 6,300 square feet on lots up to half an acre.
That distance changes the design. A thin outline on a house 150 feet from the street disappears, so we lean on bolder elements people can see from the road: the main front gables, a lit entry, wrapped trees along the drive and a bright line on the garage wing. On stone and stucco facades with tall windows, wreaths at each upper window and garland around an arched entry add detail for guests who come up the walk. Steep, multi-level roofs take more planning for safe access, and we account for that during the design visit.

How We Light a Southlake Home
01
Walk the property
We measure the main roof planes, trees and drive, check exterior outlets and note gate codes or HOA rules.
02
Review the design
You get a written proposal showing what will be lit. Trim it, add a second tree or change the color before it is scheduled.
03
Install day
Larger homes may take most of a day. The crew can work while you are away as long as outlets and side gates are reachable.
04
Through the holidays
Timers turn the display on each evening. If anything fails, a call to our office puts a service visit on the calendar.
05
Takedown and storage
After the holidays the crew removes everything, labels it for your address and stores it so next season starts from the same plan.
Southlake Neighborhoods We Light
From golf course streets to wooded cul-de-sacs, these five Southlake areas each call for a different approach. If you live just east or south, see our pages for Grapevine house lighting and holiday lights on Colleyville homes.
Timarron
A large association community wrapped around Timarron Country Club and its 1994 course, with homes on curving streets and many lots backing to the fairways. Houses on the course are seen from cart paths and greens, so rear rooflines and patio trees are worth considering along with the front.
Shady Oaks
Homes from 2012 onward set among existing oaks and greenbelts, on lots up to half an acre. Tudor and French-country rooflines have tall, narrow gables that look sharp when traced, and the mature oaks in front yards make strong trunk wraps.
Acreage homes off the main roads
Southlake still has ranch homes and custom estates on an acre or more, some with private gates and long drives. Lighting the gate, a row of drive trees and the front elevation tells the story from the road. Owners who want path and tree lighting all year can look at our Southlake landscape lighting.
Carillon
French-inspired architecture, formal gardens and landscaped boulevards near State Highway 114 and White's Chapel. Courtyard garden homes light well at the entry court and gate, while Chateaux District estates near the ponds can carry a full front outline with lit trees.
Southlake Woods
A wooded-name subdivision with streets such as Deer Hollow Boulevard and White Oak Clearing. Where front yards keep mature trees, the trees can carry the display, with roofline lighting held to the front gables so branches do not hide the house.
HOA Communities and Town Square Season
Southlake's holiday season gets its official start at Southlake Town Square, where the city's Home for the Holidays event lights the Christmas tree in late November. Many homeowners want their own display finished by then, which is a good reason to book early.
Much of the city sits inside association communities with architectural guidelines. Timarron is built around a Byron Nelson-designed golf course that opened in 1994. Carillon, a 285-acre Hines community with a French-inspired plan, splits into a Village District of courtyard garden homes and a Chateaux District of larger estates near its lakes. Gated sections and design committees may limit color, dates or yard pieces. Send us your guidelines and we design within them; our Southlake HOA lighting page covers what associations ask for at entrances and common areas.

Factors That Shape a Southlake Quote
No packages. We measure your home and quote what you ask us to light.
Elevations you choose
Lighting only the street-facing front is the most common choice on large homes. Adding side wings or the rear for a lake or golf view adds footage.
Color choices
Warm white suits stone and stucco exteriors, while multicolor or mixed schemes change the strand types we cut for your home.
Roof complexity
Multiple roof levels, turrets and steep pitches take more time to rig safely than a single eave line, even when the total footage is similar.
Entry pieces and gates
Garland around arched doors, wreaths on gates and upper windows, and lit columns are quoted individually, so you can add or drop each one.
Trees and the driveway
A long drive lined with oaks can become the centerpiece. Each wrapped trunk or canopy adds product and crew hours to the quote.

Questions From Southlake Homeowners
Have a question we didn’t cover? Call 972-620-9560 or request a free quote online.
Do you install Christmas lights on homes in Southlake?
–
Yes. We install on residences across Southlake's 76092 ZIP code, from Timarron and Carillon to Southlake Woods and the acreage lots in between. We also light retail and HOA entrances in town, which you can read about on our Southlake Christmas lighting page.
Should I lease seasonal lights or install permanent ones?
–
Seasonal lights are leased from us, so you buy nothing and store nothing; they go up for the holidays and come down after. If you would prefer a track system that stays on the eaves and can change colors for other occasions, see our permanent lighting for Southlake homes. Some HOAs treat permanent fixtures differently, so check your guidelines first.
How early should I book in Southlake?
–
Large homes take longer to install, so we suggest calling in late summer or early fall. Installs typically begin in early November and dates fill in the order requests come in. Booking by October gives you the widest choice, especially if you want the house lit before the Town Square tree lighting.
When will the display be taken down?
–
Removal happens after the holidays, generally in the first weeks of January. Everything is boxed, labeled for your home and stored by us. If your HOA sets a takedown deadline, we schedule around it.
Does my Southlake HOA need to approve the lights?
–
Some do. Associations like Timarron and Carillon have design guidelines, and gated sections may also need gate access arranged. Send us the rules or your management company's contact, and we will match the design and dates before installation. The residential Christmas lighting service page explains the full process.
Could the install damage tile, slate or stone?
–
We hang lights with clips made for gutters, shingle edges and ridges, never nails or staples. On tile, slate or stone, the crew chooses attachment points that do not crack or scratch the material, and anything that cannot be clipped safely is left out of the design.
What powers the display, and who sets the timers?
–
We use your existing exterior outlets and set timers so the lights come on at dusk and shut off at the hour you choose. On big homes we split the display across several circuits so nothing overloads, and we note any outlet that needs an electrician before install day.
Can you light a long driveway or front gate?
–
Yes. Wrapping the trees along a drive, outlining entry columns and adding wreaths to the gate are common on Southlake acreage. These pieces are often the first thing guests see, well before they reach the house.
