Frisco, TX Christmas Light Installation for Homes and Businesses

Frisco homeowners, HOA boards and business owners can hand the whole holiday lighting job to Christmas Decor by Carruthers Decorative Lighting. We design the display, supply leased commercial-grade LED lighting, install it, keep it working through the season, take it down and store it. Frisco is one of four cities where we install on private homes, and we light commercial and community properties here too.

Frisco is a newer city than its neighbors to the south, and its houses show it. The population went from 33,714 in 2000 to 200,509 in 2020, so most Frisco homes have been built since the late 1990s. Much of that housing sits inside master-planned and gated communities such as Starwood, Phillips Creek Ranch, Newman Village and The Trails of West Frisco, each with its own association and its own look. Architecture ranges from French-inspired and traditional homes with stone to Mediterranean designs with stucco and terracotta.

That mix changes the lighting plan from one street to the next. Established communities such as Starwood and Chapel Creek have mature trees worth lighting. Newer sections often have younger trees, so rooflines, entries and landscape beds do more of the work. The original town is here as well: the Rail District near Main Street still has early Craftsman bungalows and 1950s ranch homes, which suit a simpler, classic treatment.

Frisco Communities We Serve and What Shapes Each Design

Frisco is organized around its communities, and we serve homes throughout them. On the west side, near the Dallas North Tollway and Lebanon Road, that includes neighborhoods such as Starwood, Stonebriar, Phillips Creek Ranch, Edgestone at Legacy and Chapel Creek. Farther north and northwest are Newman Village, The Trails of West Frisco, Hollyhock, Grayhawk and Frisco Lakes. Toward the center and east we serve Shaddock Creek Estates, Panther Creek Estates, Richwoods, Lexington and The Grove Frisco, along with the older streets of the Rail District. Frisco has four ZIP codes, 75033, 75034, 75035 and 75036, and residential service is available in all of them.

Frisco architecture gives a designer a lot of lines to choose from. Homes built here over the past 25 years often carry several gables, a tall main ridge and a prominent front entry. Lighting every edge can look busy, so we pick the lines that define the house and keep them straight and evenly spaced. Stone and stucco elevations, common in the city's French-inspired and Mediterranean homes, pair well with warm white light. Courtyard entries, a feature of Newman Village, are natural places for garland, wreaths and lit greenery.

Trees and landscape fill in where the roofline stops. In established communities with mature trees, trunk and canopy wraps add depth to the display. Where trees are still young, we lean on shrub lighting, entry columns, walkway stakes and decor such as bows and oversized ornaments. Either way, the design is drawn for your lot, and the lighting is cut to fit it.

Association rules come first in a city with this many HOAs. Guidelines differ from one Frisco community to the next and can cover when displays go up, when they must come down and where they can be placed. Some Texas associations, for example, allow displays starting about 30 days before Christmas and require removal by mid-January. We ask for your community name at the quote stage and check the design and schedule against its guidelines. In gated communities we coordinate access ahead of time so installation day goes smoothly.

Here is what the turnkey service includes. You get a custom design, leased commercial-grade LED lighting, professional installation with non-damaging clips, free maintenance during the season, takedown and storage. Because the lighting is leased, you never buy it or find room for it in the garage. We carry liability insurance and workers' compensation, and our installers are trained in ladder and roof safety, which matters on Frisco's taller rooflines.

The schedule is simple once you are booked. Most residential installations take two to four hours, and you do not need to be home if the crew can reach outlets and gates. If something stops working in December, call us. Free in-season maintenance is usually handled within 24 to 48 hours of your call. Takedown begins in early January, and the lighting is stored in our climate-controlled facility until next season.

Frisco's own lights come on early, so plan your booking around them. Christmas in the Square, the choreographed light show at Frisco Square, starts in late November, and the city tree lighting at Merry Main Street in Simpson Plaza follows in early December. Homeowners who want to be lit by then should request a quote in early fall, when more installation dates are open. Call 972-620-9560 or use the online quote form.

Commercial, HOA and dealership lighting is available throughout Frisco. We light retail centers, restaurants, offices, mixed-use properties and car dealerships in areas such as the Dallas North Tollway corridor, Preston Road, Frisco Square, the Stonebriar Centre area and the Rail District along Main Street. HOA boards use us for entrances and amenity centers. Every commercial project gets the same leased, fully maintained program, with installation scheduled around your operating hours.

Frisco Christmas Lighting FAQs

Does Carruthers install Christmas lights on Frisco homes or only on businesses?

Both. Frisco is one of four cities where Carruthers Decorative Lighting installs Christmas lights on private homes, alongside Plano, Allen and Richardson. We also light Frisco businesses, HOA common areas and car dealerships. Residential service is available in all four Frisco ZIP codes: 75033, 75034, 75035 and 75036. Quotes are free by phone or through the online form.

My Frisco HOA has rules on holiday decorations. Can you work within them?

Yes. Many Frisco communities set their own guidelines on when lights can go up, when they must come down and where they can be placed. Give us your community name when you request a quote. We check the design and the installation date against the guidelines first, and we plan takedown, which begins in early January, with any removal deadline in mind.

How long does installation take on a two-story Frisco home, and do I need to be there?

Most residential installations take two to four hours, and you do not need to be home. The crew only needs access to exterior outlets and any gates. Larger homes with many roof lines, trees and added decor can take longer, and we will tell you what to expect when we design the display. Installers are trained in ladder and roof safety.

What happens if part of my display goes out in December?

Call us and we fix it at no charge. In-season maintenance is included with every installation, and service is usually completed within 24 to 48 hours of your call. That covers a dark section, a tripped timer or damage after a storm. Because the lighting is leased and maintained by us, you never need to climb a ladder to troubleshoot it.

Do you light HOA entrances and amenity centers in Frisco's master-planned communities?

Yes. We design and install holiday lighting for HOA common areas across Frisco, including entrances, monument signs, gatehouses, clubhouses, amenity centers and medians. Boards and management companies get one turnkey program: design, leased commercial-grade lighting and decor, installation, free in-season maintenance, January takedown and storage. We carry liability insurance and workers' compensation.
