Inside a Frisco Lighting Season
Six parts, one crew, and no boxes stacked in your garage.
01
A plan for your builder's design
Production homes from the same builder can share a roofline, so we look for what sets yours apart, like a stone entry tower or a front-facing gable over the garage.
04
Young trees, lit shrubs
Where the front-yard trees were planted with the house, netted shrubs and lit beds add the depth a slim trunk cannot carry yet.
02
Lease, not purchase
Commercial-grade LED lighting is supplied under a seasonal lease. It goes up on your house, comes down in January and never claims space in a garage that already holds two cars.
05
Fixes during the season
A dark run after a windy night is a phone call for you, not a ladder job. A crew is sent to put it right.
03
Cut on site
Runs are measured along your gutters and peaks, then cut to length, which keeps corners crisp on the steep, many-gabled roofs common in newer Frisco subdivisions.
06
Takedown and labeled storage
Once the holidays pass, the whole display comes down, gets tagged for your address and waits on our shelves until the following fall.

Frisco Rooflines, From Old Town to Fields
Most Frisco houses are two-story brick and stone homes built inside master-planned communities, many on lots under a quarter acre, with front gables, a tall entry and a garage that faces the street or turns to the side. Grayhawk, north of Eldorado Parkway between Teel Parkway and FM 423, and Panther Creek Estates, which finished building out in 2017, are typical of that stock. The display usually centers on the front gables and the entry, because side yards are narrow and rarely seen.
Two parts of the city break the pattern. In the Rail District, Frisco's 1902 townsite, Folk Victorian and Greek Revival houses sit beside new Craftsman and modern-farmhouse infill on Oak, Maple and Sycamore streets, and porches give us natural places for garland. In Fields, the 2,500-acre development near PGA Frisco, custom estates are rising in sections like The Preserve, where a design can light a motor court, a long front walk and fresh landscape plantings as well as the roof.

How a Frisco Home Gets Lit
01
Site visit
We measure the elevations, count gables, locate outlets and ask which view matters most to you: the street, a greenbelt or a lake-facing back yard.
02
Proposal and changes
A written plan lists every element. Swap colors, add a tree or trim the scope until it matches what you have in mind.
03
Install
The crew fastens lighting with clips, routes cords neatly to the outlets, sets the timer and switches everything on before driving away.
04
In-season care
Through December, report any outage to the office and a repair stop is added to the route.
05
Removal and storage
Early in January the display comes off the house, is packed by section and returns to storage, ready for a quicker install next fall.
Frisco Neighborhoods We Light
A few Frisco areas and what their homes ask for. Families just south in Plano's older neighborhoods and west in The Colony along the lake get the same service.
Frisco Lakes by Del Webb
An active adult community for residents 55 and older in 75036, with the front nine of the Frisco Lakes Golf Club running through it and Lewisville Lake views from parts of the course. Many owners here would rather not climb a ladder at all, so a fully serviced season with January removal fits the community well.
Grayhawk
A 75033 community with pools, a pond, trails and water features, where homes run from roughly 1,800 to 4,700 square feet. That range means plans go from a simple eave line on a smaller house to stacked gables and wreathed upper windows on a large two-story.
Fields
The 2,500-acre development near PGA Frisco is adding custom homes in The Preserve and builder homes in Brookside. Brand-new landscaping and large facades mean the house carries the design at first, with lit garland, wreaths and ground pieces filling in until the trees grow.
Rail District
Frisco's original townsite around Main Street, where Folk Victorian houses from the early 1900s share blocks with new Craftsman and modern-farmhouse builds. Porches, steep gables and farmhouse details give us strong lines to follow without lighting every edge.
Panther Creek Estates
Set between Panther Creek and Eldorado parkways east of Hillcrest Road in 75035, with a community pool, greenbelt and park. The two-story fronts here suit outlined gables and a lit entry, and lots that back to the greenbelt can add a rear roofline.
Lake Wind, Young Trees and Active HOAs
West of Teel Parkway, the 75036 area runs down to Lewisville Lake, and homes near the water, including Frisco Lakes by Del Webb, take more wind across open ground than streets farther east. On exposed elevations we pay extra attention to how each run is secured, and every service call includes a look at those sections.
Across the newer subdivisions, front-yard trees are often only a few seasons old, and nearly every neighborhood has an association with its own holiday rules. We review the dates, colors and placement guidance with you before the design is final. Boards that want gatehouses, monuments and amenity centers lit can find that work on our Frisco HOA lighting page.
Extra care fastening runs near Lewisville Lake
Young trees lit lightly, never overloaded
HOA dates and colors confirmed before install
Shrub nets add depth on new lots
Exposed runs rechecked on every service call

Cost Drivers for a Frisco Display
Each Frisco quote is built from measurements taken at your house, then adjusted to the elements you keep.
Total lighted footage
Front eaves and gables are the starting point. Wrapping the garage, the side returns or a rear elevation facing a greenbelt adds length.
Colors and bulb type
Warm white, cool white and multicolor all install the same way, while patterns and specialty bulbs mean different product. Mixed palettes are covered in our holiday color and style trends.
Two stories and steep pitch
Tall entries and steep front gables need more setup and roof time than a single-story eave, even when the footage is similar.
Add-on decor
Wreaths, lit garland, bows and pathway lights are separate items you can include this year or hold for next.
Tree count and size
Young trees cost little to wrap. Mature oaks in older parts of town or along creek greenbelts take far more product and labor.

Do you install Christmas lights on homes in Frisco?
–
Yes, in all four Frisco ZIP codes, 75033, 75034, 75035 and 75036, from the Rail District out to Fields and Frisco Lakes. We also decorate storefronts and community entrances around town, described on our main Frisco holiday lighting page.
Is leasing better than buying, or should I go with permanent lights?
–
Leasing gives you a professionally installed design with nothing for you to purchase, fix or box up, and the look can change every year. Permanent LED track stays mounted and is controlled from your phone, which some Frisco owners like for game days and other holidays. Learn more on our Frisco permanent lighting page.
How early should I book a Frisco install?
–
September and early October are the time to reach us. Installs usually get going in early November. To have the house glowing before Christmas in the Square opens at Frisco Square in late November, book well ahead of that.
When will you take the lights down?
–
Removal follows the holidays, usually in early January, and is scheduled neighborhood by neighborhood. Nobody has to be home as long as the crew can reach the roofline and the outlets.
Does my Frisco HOA have to approve the lights?
–
That depends on the association. Many Frisco HOAs allow holiday lighting within a window of dates, and some limit placement, inflatables or color. Send us the community's guidelines, and both the design and the install date will follow them.
Will clips damage my roof or new gutters?
–
No nails, screws or staples go into your shingles. The lighting hangs from plastic clips that hook over the gutter edge or tuck under a shingle tab, and every clip is removed in January, which matters on a newer roof you want to keep intact.
What powers the display, and who turns it on each night?
–
The display plugs into your exterior outlets, and a timer lights it at sundown and shuts it off at the hour you pick. Outdoor receptacle placement varies by builder, so we confirm locations at the design visit and plan the runs around them.
Do you light homes in Frisco Lakes by Del Webb?
–
Yes. Frisco Lakes is a 55-and-older community, and a fully serviced season means nobody has to climb a ladder in November or January. We follow the community's guidelines and can keep the design simple and tidy, or go fuller if you like.
