QUICK ANSWER

Christmas Decor by Carruthers Decorative Lighting installs commercial Christmas lighting across Dallas for office buildings, retail and mixed-use centers, restaurants, hotels, car dealerships, condo and HOA associations, and public districts. Each project includes a custom design, leased commercial-grade LED lighting cut to fit, installation, in-season maintenance, removal and storage. In Dallas we serve commercial and association properties, not individual homes.

A Dallas Program, Fully Managed

One contract and one contact cover design, installation, service and storage.

01

Designs for each district

A glass lobby downtown and a row of brick storefronts in Bishop Arts need different plans. Every Dallas project starts with a site walk and a design drawn for that block.

04

Backed by a Dallas family business

Our parent company, Carruthers Landscape Management, has served Dallas commercial properties since Ben Carruthers founded it in 1978. Our lighting division builds on that experience.

02

Leased, custom-cut LED

Commercial-grade LED lighting is measured and cut to your building, installed by our crew and returned to our storage after the season. Nothing to buy or keep.

05

Service calls from inside the city

Because our shop is in northwest Dallas, a crew is never far from your property. Call during business hours and we schedule the repair for you.

03

Towers, plazas and lobbies

Building outlines, wrapped street trees, commercial Christmas trees, wreaths, garland and oversized ornaments give a plaza or lobby a clear focal point for tenants and visitors.

06

Takedown and storage

After the holidays we remove the display, pack it by property and store it. Next year's install begins from the design already on file. Your staff never handles a ladder or a storage closet.

Retail and Mixed-Use Districts

Holiday lighting keeps people on a property after dark. In Dallas that means shopping centers and street-level retail in Uptown, West Village, Knox/Henderson, Deep Ellum, Trinity Groves and the Bishop Arts District.

These districts are walked, not just driven. We wrap street trees, outline storefronts, frame signs and place commercial trees where people gather, so each property reads well up close and in the photos visitors share. Restaurants and hotels often add patio bistro lighting.

  • Wrapped street trees along sidewalks

  • Storefront and sign outlines

  • Commercial trees in courtyards and plazas

  • Patio bistro lighting for restaurants

  • Coordinated looks across multiple tenants

The Dallas Project Timeline

01

Site walk

We meet the property manager, board president or general manager on site, measure every surface we plan to light and check power and access.

02

Proposal and design map

A written proposal with a design map shows what is lit and where, so owners and boards can approve with confidence.

03

Certificate of insurance

We carry liability insurance and workers' compensation and send a certificate to your management company or ownership group for your files.

04

After-hours or off-peak installs

Crews work around business hours, lobby traffic and loading docks, then test every circuit before the evening crowd arrives.

05

Service and removal

We handle service calls during the season, then take the display down after the holidays and store it until next year.

Dallas Districts and Associations

Dallas is not one market. These are some of the areas where our commercial and association work is concentrated.

Downtown Dallas

The Main Street District, the Arts District and the West End mix office towers, hotels and cultural venues. Lobby trees, lit entry canopies and plaza décor give tenants and visitors a strong first impression as they arrive during the busy holiday weeks.

Turtle Creek and Oak Lawn associations

Condo and high-rise associations along Turtle Creek and in Oak Lawn ask us to light entry drives, motor courts and lobby approaches. One proposal covers every common area the board manages, with a single contact for the season. Certificates go straight to the manager.

Preston Hollow and Lake Highlands

Neighborhood associations in areas such as Preston Hollow, Lake Highlands and Midway Hollow light their entry monuments, gatehouses, medians and perimeter trees with us. Individual homes are not part of our Dallas service. Every element is shown on one design map, so the board can approve the full scope at once.

Uptown and Victory Park

Mid-rise and high-rise buildings, hotels and street-level retail. Here we light motor courts, lobby approaches, storefront edges and street trees, matching the polished look of the area while keeping sidewalks and valet lanes clear during installation. Lobby trees and planters can carry the look inside.

Design District and Deep Ellum

Creative offices, showrooms, restaurants and music venues in older buildings. Warm white rooflines, wrapped trees and framed signs fit the industrial character better than heavy décor, and patio bistro lighting suits the busy dining and nightlife scene. Installs avoid show nights.

Lemmon Avenue dealerships

Dealerships along Lemmon Avenue and other Dallas corridors compete for the same drivers. A showroom roofline, a lit street frontage and a large commercial tree near the customer entrance give a store a clear edge after dark. Installs keep the lot open.

Dealerships and Multi-Site Owners

Car dealerships are a priority for us in Dallas. A dealership display is built around the showroom roofline, the street frontage and the main customer entrance. Installation is scheduled so the lot, service lanes and delivery area stay open during business hours.

Dealer groups and property owners with several Dallas-Fort Worth locations can combine them in one agreement. Each site keeps its own design map, and you deal with one contact and one schedule across every store or building.

  • Showroom rooflines outlined in LED

  • Street frontage visible from the corridor

  • Commercial tree at the customer entrance

  • Service lanes and lot kept open

  • Several stores on one agreement

Dallas Cost Factors

Pricing depends on the property, so we measure these details on every Dallas site walk.

Height and access

Towers, parking garages and tall lobbies may need lifts or special equipment. Tight downtown streets can also limit when a crew can set up safely and efficiently.

Install windows

Hotels, restaurants and dealerships often need after-hours or early-morning work. Those windows are built into the plan and the proposal from the start. That rarely changes the product cost.

Linear footage

The total length of rooflines, canopies, railings and storefront edges sets most of the product count. Long retail frontages add up quickly across a center.

Number of properties

Owners, management firms and dealer groups with several Dallas sites can bundle them into one agreement, simplifying scheduling and billing across every location. Each site keeps its own map.

Commercial décor pieces

Commercial Christmas trees, oversized ornaments, wreaths, garland and lobby décor are priced by size and quantity, separate from the exterior lighting runs. You choose the mix that suits the space.

Dallas Commercial Lighting FAQs

Have a question we didn’t cover? Call 972-620-9560 or request a free quote online.

Do you install Christmas lights on homes in Dallas?

–

No. In Dallas we serve commercial properties, dealerships, hotels, restaurants, office buildings and association common areas. Residential Christmas lighting is offered only in Plano, Frisco, Allen and Richardson, including large estates there. Dallas condo and HOA boards can still light their shared spaces with us.

Where is your shop?

–

Our shop is at 11593 Goodnight Lane in northwest Dallas, and our office is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. Being inside the city makes site walks, installs and service calls easier to schedule across Dallas. Crews are rarely far from your property.

Can you light a high-rise condo or office tower?

–

Yes. We light motor courts, lobby approaches, entry canopies and plazas for high-rise buildings, and our commercial décor service handles lobby trees and interior décor. Height and access are reviewed on the site walk so equipment is planned in advance.

Do you work with property management companies?

–

Yes. Property managers are some of our most frequent clients. We send proposals, certificates of insurance and invoices directly to your management company and keep one contact for every property you manage with us. Boards and owners stay informed without extra coordination on their end.

Do we have to buy the lights?

–

No. Everything is leased. We supply commercial-grade LED lighting cut to fit your property, install it, maintain it during the season, remove it after the holidays and store it until the next install. Your budget covers a seasonal service rather than equipment that wears out.

Can you install without disrupting our business?

–

Yes. We schedule around business hours and plan for loading docks, valet lanes, lobby traffic and dealership lots. Many Dallas installs happen early in the morning or after hours so tenants and customers are not affected. Every circuit is tested before the crew leaves.

When should a Dallas property book?

–

Late summer for the site walk and early fall for approval. Dallas properties compete for the same install weeks, so earlier approval gives you more dates to choose from and time for any design changes. Multi-site owners should start earliest of all.

Do you decorate lobbies and interiors?

–

Yes. Our commercial holiday décor service covers lobby and atrium Christmas trees, oversized outdoor trees, wreaths, garland, swags, planters and window and entry décor for offices, law firms, restaurants, hotels and retail spaces. Interior and exterior work can share one proposal and one install visit.

What else do you install besides holiday lighting?

–

We also install permanent lighting with PermaLites 365 app control, landscape lighting, bistro and string lighting, and special event lighting. These can be planned alongside your holiday display on the same site walk. Permanent, landscape, bistro and event lighting can also include homes anywhere we work.

Who is behind Christmas Decor by Carruthers?

–

We are the Christmas Decor franchise operated by Carruthers Decorative Lighting, part of Carruthers Landscape Management, a Dallas family business founded in 1978 by Ben Carruthers. We have provided commercial and large residential lighting for over five years. Our office is open weekdays.
