What We Light Around Justin
Larger lots and open land in this part of Denton County shape how we plan every event.
01
Weddings and receptions
Ceremony arches, reception lawns and dance areas lit so the evening keeps its glow after sunset. We plan around your timeline, your photographer and the venue coordinator from the first walkthrough.
04
Parties at home
A big birthday, a graduation or a rehearsal dinner does not need a rented hall. We light patios, pools and yards for the night, and our crew takes the lights down afterward.
02
Pavilions and covered spaces
Pergolas, pavilions and tent frames give us places to run string lines overhead. The result is a defined, glowing room under open sky, sized to your guest count.
05
Festivals and markets
Night markets, fall festivals and community gatherings need light that guides people safely and looks inviting. We string walkways, vendor rows and gathering areas, then clear out after close.
03
Tree lighting
Wrapped trunks and lit canopies give outdoor events height and sparkle. Large oaks, courtyard trees and entry trees become focal points for photos and help guests orient after dark.
06
Bistro canopies
Classic round-bulb strings run overhead in clean lines, giving a lawn or courtyard a warm ceiling. We plan anchor points, spacing and heights to suit the layout and guest flow.

Keep the Glow After the Event
Many hosts fall in love with the look of string lights over the patio and want it to stay. Because we also install bistro string lighting, landscape lighting and PermaLites 365 permanent lighting, an event can become the first step toward a lit backyard you use all year.
We can design an event layout with that future in mind, so anchor points and spans make sense for a permanent install later.

Lighting Events in and Around Justin
Justin is a small Denton County town along FM 156, surrounded by acreage and growing neighborhoods. Events here often happen on private land, where power, supports and distances need careful planning.
Acreage and ranch properties
Weddings and parties on larger lots often have long distances between the house, the barn and the gathering area. We measure every run, locate power and add supports where there are no trees or posts to hang from. Lit paths between parking, the barn and restrooms keep guests safe on uneven ground.
FM 156 corridor
Local businesses along FM 156 host openings and customer events. A lit entry and string lines over an outdoor gathering spot help a small-town opening draw a crowd after dark. We schedule setup around business hours and remove everything once the opening wraps up, leaving the storefront ready for the next morning.
Barns and pavilions
Barn and pavilion receptions are a natural fit for string lighting along beams and across open ceilings. We coordinate with the property owner on what can be fastened and where cords can run safely. Beams and rafters give string lines natural anchor points, and the result glows in every photo.
Growing neighborhoods
Newer subdivisions around Justin bring backyard graduations, birthday parties and rehearsal dinners. Bistro canopies and uplit trees fit standard yards and are removed after the event. We check power and anchor points first, then set up the afternoon of the party so the yard is ready when guests arrive.
Lighting Open Land Without Guesswork
Open fields and pastures look beautiful at sunset and very dark an hour later. Without trees or buildings, string lighting needs supports, and long distances from power need a plan.
We walk the property, measure where guests will gather and walk, and find every outlet. The design then places light where it matters most: over the tables, along paths to parking and restrooms, and on the trees and structures that frame the view.

What Drives the Scope
No two events need the same materials or crew time, and these are the reasons why.
Venue access and anchors
Sites with ready anchor points, posts or tree limbs are faster to light. Open lawns may need poles or other supports, and strict mounting rules add planning time.
Footprint and guest count
More guests usually means more space to light: longer string runs, more uplights and wider walkways. We size the design to the footprint rather than to a fixed package.
Days on site
Some clients want lights up for one evening; others want them through a rehearsal dinner, wedding and brunch. The number of days the lighting stays affects the scope.
Lighting types chosen
String canopies, uplighting, tree wraps and entry lighting each add materials and labor. Many events use two or three types; some use all of them across different spaces.
Power at the site
Where outlets are, how many circuits they feed and how far they sit from the lit areas all shape the layout. We confirm power during the site visit, not on event day.

Justin Event Lighting FAQ
Have a question we didn’t cover? Call 972-620-9560 or request a free quote online.
Can you light a wedding on a property with no trees or posts?
–
Yes, it just takes more planning. Open fields need supports for string lines, and we account for that in the design. We visit the property to measure the gathering area, locate power and decide where supports can safely go. Lit paths between parking and the gathering area matter even more on open land.
Do you travel to events near Justin and Northwest ISD?
–
Yes. We serve Justin and the surrounding Denton County area from our Dallas office. Mention the address when you call so we can plan the site visit and crew schedule around the drive. The site visit lets us measure distances, find power and plan supports for open land before we quote.
How do you handle cords and outlets?
–
We find every usable outlet during the site visit and plan cord routes before install day. Cords run along edges, under covers or overhead where possible, away from walkways and dance floors. The goal is a clean look and nothing for guests to trip over in the dark.
Do you hang lights in tents and pavilions?
–
Yes. Tent frames, pavilions and pergolas give us natural anchor points for string lines. We coordinate with the tent provider on timing so their install finishes before ours begins, and we follow their rules on what can attach to the frame.
Can lights stay up in wind or light rain?
–
Outdoor-rated string lights and fixtures handle normal Texas evenings, including a passing light rain. Strong wind and lightning are a different story, so we review the forecast with your planner in the days before the event and adjust the plan, timing or layout for everyone's safety.
Will lighting damage the trees at our venue?
–
No. We use wrapping and mounting methods that protect bark and limbs, and nothing is nailed or screwed into the tree. Our parent company manages commercial landscapes, so care for trees is built into how we work. Everything comes off during teardown.
Do you handle both setup and teardown?
–
Yes. Our crew installs the lighting before guests arrive and returns to remove it at the time we agree on, whether that is late the same night or the next morning. You and your guests never have to climb a ladder or coil a single strand, and the space is left clean.
When should we reserve lighting for a wedding?
–
Once the venue and date are confirmed, reach out. Popular Texas wedding months get busy, and a site visit takes time to arrange around your schedule and the venue's. Booking early also leaves room to adjust the design as your florals, rentals and timeline are finalized.
Is our yard big enough for event lighting?
–
Almost any yard works. A small patio might need one string canopy and a few uplit trees, while a large lawn can take a full layout with lit paths. We measure the space during the site visit and scale the design to fit the yard and your guest count.
