Municipal Scope in Argyle

Most city programs combine several of these, outdoors and in.

01

Pole-Mounted Wreaths

Wreaths on light poles are a classic downtown look that reads well from cars and sidewalks alike. Size and mounting are fitted to each pole so wreaths hang straight and stay secure all season.

04

Retail Storefronts

Retail shops do better when the whole block looks festive. Storefront garland, wreaths and window décor let shops on main streets match the city design and invite holiday shoppers inside.

02

City Hall Rooflines

Roofline lighting outlines city halls, libraries and recreation centers so civic buildings stand out at night. Product is custom-fit to each edge, peak and parapet rather than strung loosely along gutters.

05

Oversized Outdoor Trees

Where no living tree is available to light, an oversized outdoor tree can anchor a plaza or civic lawn. It gives a tree-lighting event a true centerpiece scaled to the space around it.

03

Restaurant Fronts and Patios

Restaurants want guests to see the season from the street and feel it at the table. Entry garland, window décor and patio lighting help a dining row match the public display nearby.

06

Lobby and Atrium Trees

Lobby and atrium trees are decorated on site to match the scale of the room and the style of the building. They suit town halls, courthouses, libraries and other public lobbies.

Quotes and RFPs, Handled Cleanly

Some Argyle projects start with a phone call and a quote. Others start with a formal solicitation. We are comfortable with both. A quote comes back as a written scope that lists each site, each piece and the install and removal plan, so staff can compare it against other vendors.

For an RFP, we follow the format you set, answer every item and include our certificates of insurance. If something in the scope is unclear, we ask during the question period instead of guessing.

  • Line-item scope for easy comparison

  • Responses that follow your RFP format

  • Insurance certificates included up front

  • Questions raised during the question window

  • Design layouts for staff review

From Site Walk to Storage

01

Meet on site

We meet parks, facilities or downtown staff at the properties and look at what residents actually see from the street, the sidewalk and parking.

02

Design and quote

You receive a custom design and a written proposal listing every site and piece, ready for a quote file, a purchasing review or a bid response.

03

Send the paperwork

Certificates of insurance go to purchasing or risk management, and the confirmed install schedule is shared with each department involved.

04

Light it up

Each site is installed, tested and walked with your staff, so any adjustments happen before the public sees the finished display.

05

Ready for next year

Removal and storage close out the season. Because the product was fit to your sites, next year's install starts from a known layout.

Argyle's Holiday Canvas

Argyle does not need a big-city display. It needs a few places done well, so the town feels festive from the first road sign to the front desk at Town Hall.

Town Hall

The front of Town Hall is the natural centerpiece. A lighted tree on the lawn, wreaths on the doors and warm roofline lights give residents one clear place that says the season has arrived, and it photographs well for town newsletters.

Town Parks and Lawns

Park trees and pavilions can take trunk wraps and lighted garland for a holiday gathering or a tree lighting. We keep the plan simple and durable, matched to each site rather than a template from somewhere larger. Fewer pieces, placed well, also make takedown quick after New Year's.

FM 407 and US 377 Entries

Most drivers reach Argyle along FM 407 or US 377. Wreaths, garland and lighting at town entry signs mark the town line and set the tone well before anyone reaches the center of town. Sign décor is fastened to suit each structure and checked during service visits after windy nights.

Argyle Businesses

Restaurants, retail shops and professional offices, including law firms, can book matching décor. In a small town, a handful of coordinated storefronts near Town Hall makes the whole community feel thoughtfully planned. Owners book directly with us, separate from the town's own agreement, and we match greenery and ribbon on request.

Trees That Become Landmarks

Lit trees are often what people remember most about a season. In Argyle parks and on civic lawns, we wrap trunks and major limbs so trees glow from the road and from the sidewalk.

Our parent company, Carruthers Landscape Management, has cared for commercial landscapes in Dallas since 1978. That background shapes how we handle trees: wraps attached without cutting into bark, product sized to each tree and a full removal in January.

  • Trunk wraps sized to each tree

  • Canopy lighting on mature limbs

  • Attachments that protect the bark

  • Placement visible from roads and paths

  • Complete removal after the season

How We Build a Quote

A quote reflects your actual sites; here is what we measure.

Roofline Length and Height

Long rooflines, multiple peaks and taller civic buildings take more product and more lift time than a single-story facade with one straight edge along the top.

How Many Sites

One civic lawn is a single setup. A main street, a park, city hall and a library add travel, staging and coordination, even when they share one plan and one schedule.

Power at Each Site

Available power shapes the design. Sites with receptacles on poles and buildings are simpler, while sites without nearby power may call for unlit décor or a different layout.

Event Deadlines

A fixed tree-lighting date or a tight work window, such as early mornings only, affects how crews are scheduled and how the install is sequenced across sites.

Access and Equipment

Where crews can park lifts, how close equipment can get to poles and trees, and whether work can happen during the day all affect the labor in a proposal.

Argyle Municipal Lighting FAQ

Have a question we didn’t cover? Call 972-620-9560 or request a free quote online.

Can you respond to a formal RFP or bid package?

–

Yes. Send the solicitation and we will answer the scope as written, with a site-specific design, the lighting and décor we propose, an install and removal schedule and our insurance details. If the package allows alternates, we may suggest one, clearly marked, so your team can compare options side by side.

Who stores the decorations after the season?

–

We do. After removal, the lighting and décor return to our storage until the next season. Because the pieces were fit to your sites, much of the layout carries over, which makes the next install faster and keeps the look consistent from one year to the next.

Can you decorate inside town offices?

–

Yes. Interiors are part of our holiday décor work: lobby and atrium trees, wreaths, garland, entry and window décor and holiday planters. Town halls, libraries and council chambers can carry the same colors and style as the outdoor display, so the program feels like one design.

Can you provide a layout for council review?

–

We provide a design layout showing what goes where, which helps staff explain the plan to a council, a committee or a downtown board. A clear visual paired with a written scope usually makes the approval conversation shorter and keeps questions focused on the plan itself.

Which city departments do you work with?

–

Parks and recreation departments, library staff, facilities managers, downtown associations, economic development groups and event coordinators all reach out to us. We work with whichever department owns the project and keep the other offices informed about dates, sites and any changes.

Do you offer lighting that stays up all year?

–

Yes. Separate from the seasonal program, we install PermaLites 365, an app-controlled permanent lighting system that can change colors for holidays, civic events and observances. It suits some civic buildings, while the leased seasonal program still handles garland, wreaths and trees.

Can the display match our city colors or a theme?

–

Yes. Many towns want décor that reflects their brand colors, a historic downtown or a signature event. We design around that direction, from the ribbon on wreaths to the color of the lights, and keep it consistent across every site in the program.

What does a site walk cover?

–

We look at every location in the scope: poles, trees, rooflines, entries and interiors. We note heights, power, lift access and how people move through each space at night. That walk becomes the basis for the design and the written proposal your staff reviews.

Do you remove the clips and hardware too?

–

Yes. Removal includes the lighting, garland, wreaths, swags and the hardware used to hang them. The crew checks each site before leaving so poles, trees and rooflines are clean for the rest of the year and nothing is left for city staff to pull down.
