Included in a Grand Prairie Home Display
Your part is choosing the look. Ladders, clips and January cleanup are ours.
01
Design built around the house
A flat-roofed 1940s cottage and a stone two-story by the lake need very different plans, so every design starts from your own measurements.
04
Fixes during December
If wind or a tripped outlet knocks part of the display out, call and we put a repair visit on the schedule.
02
Product on loan for the season
We supply the commercial LED and keep ownership of it, which means no buying, sorting or replacing strings each fall.
05
Removal after the holidays
The crew strips the house of clips and wire in early January, so nothing is left fading on the gutters into spring.
03
Hung by an insured crew
Our installers carry liability and workers' compensation coverage and handle every ladder, lift and roof edge.
06
Off-season storage
Your lights wait in our shop, labeled by address, and return already sized to your house next year.

From Avion Village to Lakeside Two-Stories
Few suburbs have a housing timeline as long as Grand Prairie's. During World War II about 2,400 dwellings went up for North American Aviation workers, including Avion Village, a 300-home federal project from 1942 with houses designed in part by Richard Neutra. Many of those homes have flat roofs and long bands of windows, and the village is still owned by its residents through a mutual housing corporation. Postwar ranch homes followed across central Grand Prairie in ZIP codes 75050 and 75051.
The south end tells a newer story. Communities near Joe Pool Lake, such as Mira Lagos and Grand Peninsula in 75054, are full of one- and two-story brick and stone homes, many zoned to Mansfield ISD. A flat roof asks for lighting along the fascia or parapet, a ranch for one clean eave line, and a lakeside two-story for outlined peaks, a lit garage edge and wrapped columns at the entry.
Flat roofs: lights along the fascia line
Postwar ranches: eaves, shrubs and one tree
Stone two-stories: peaks and entry columns
Corner lots: both street sides considered
Mansfield ISD sections: newer, taller facades

How a Grand Prairie Install Unfolds
01
Tell us about the house
Share your address, ZIP code and what you want lit. Late-summer calls leave the most November dates open.
02
On-site design
We measure the roof, check outlets and note lake exposure, golf course frontage or a flat roofline that needs a different approach.
03
Installation day
With the design approved, the crew hangs and tests everything. Leave side gates unlocked and you can stay at work.
04
December service
The display runs on a timer all season. Call during office hours and we schedule any repair.
05
January pickup
We remove the display, pack it by address and store it until the next season begins.
Grand Prairie Neighborhoods We Light
Grand Prairie stretches through Dallas, Tarrant and Ellis counties, so we see everything from wartime cottages to lake estates. We also light homes next door in Arlington neighborhoods to the west and in Duncanville's established neighborhoods.
Mira Lagos
A master-planned community on the western edge of Joe Pool Lake with a 43-acre linear park, ponds and fountains. Its four- and five-bedroom one- and two-story homes suit outlined peaks and wrapped entry columns.
Lake Ridge (Grand Prairie side)
Dallas County sections near Tangle Ridge Golf Club, an 18-hole public course, with lots reaching half an acre and Grand Prairie addresses in the 75104 ZIP. Large lots leave room for lit trees and pathway pieces between the street and the door.
Avion Village
The 1942 wartime community off Skyline Road, still owned by its residents. Flat roofs and long window bands call for lighting along fascia lines and windows instead of peaks.
Grand Peninsula
Homes from the late 2000s onward near the lake in 75054, from single-story plans to custom builds and townhomes. We often light the street-facing gables and a front tree, then add the back if the yard faces open water.
Westchester
A family neighborhood in 75052 between I-20 and the lake. Homes here usually look complete with the main roofline, the garage edge and one wrapped tree, with wreaths on upper windows if you want more.
Living on the Joe Pool Lake Side
Joe Pool Lake covers about 7,400 acres with 64 miles of shoreline, and a long stretch of Grand Prairie's newest housing faces it. Open water means open wind. We space clips closer on exposed gables and test each run for movement before leaving, and if a December front still pulls a section loose, a service call brings the crew back.
These communities also come with associations. Mira Lagos lists HOA dues and its own amenity network of lakes, fountains and trails, and the Grand Prairie sections of Lake Ridge near Tangle Ridge Golf Club include lots of half an acre where trees and beds matter as much as the roof. Our guide to working with HOAs on holiday lighting explains how we check rules on timing and placement before the design is final.
Closer clip spacing on windward peaks
Rear rooflines lit for lake and golf views
HOA timing rules checked before install
Gate and amenity access arranged ahead
Repairs handled after strong fronts

What Drives a Grand Prairie Quote
We measure first and quote second. These are the variables we write down at your house.
Total lit footage
Front-only displays use less product than lighting every side, which lakefront owners sometimes want for the water view.
Trees and yard pieces
Each wrapped trunk, netted shrub or set of pathway lights adds product and labor, and half-acre lots tend to have more of them.
Two stories or one
Tall stone facades near the lake take more setup and safety time than a single-story eave in central Grand Prairie.
Finishing touches
Wreaths on upper windows, garland at the door and column wraps are added one at a time, so the quote follows your choices.
Roof shape
Flat fascia runs, hip roofs and stacked gables each install differently, and the number of corners affects crew time.

Have a question we didn’t cover? Call 972-620-9560 or request a free quote online.
Do you install Christmas lights on homes in Grand Prairie?
–
Yes. We cover Grand Prairie homes in 75050, 75051, 75052 and 75054, along with the lake-area streets that use 75104. For entrances, retail and venues around town, see our Grand Prairie commercial and HOA lighting.
Do I buy the lights, or is this a lease? What about permanent lights?
–
It is a lease. We provide the commercial-grade LED, maintain it, take it down and store it, so you never own a reel of wire. If you would rather keep a track system on the house year-round, read about permanent lighting for Grand Prairie homes.
When should I schedule my install?
–
Reach out in late summer or the first weeks of fall. Installs generally begin in early November, and the dates closest to Thanksgiving are claimed first. Lakeside homes with gate access or long rear rooflines benefit from booking early so the design visit has time to cover them.
How soon after Christmas do the lights come down?
–
Removal happens after the holidays, usually in early January. The crew takes down every strand and clip and returns your lighting to storage, labeled for next year.
Do I need HOA approval in Mira Lagos or Grand Peninsula?
–
Check your covenants, because many Grand Prairie associations address holiday timing or placement. Send us the guidelines or the community name and we align the design and the install and removal dates with them before installation.
Will installation hurt my shingles or gutters?
–
Your roof stays free of nails and staples. We use clips that hold to the gutter or tuck under the shingle edge, and on flat-roofed homes we work along the fascia. Every clip leaves with the lights in January.
Where do the lights plug in, and who turns them on?
–
They plug into your outdoor outlets, and a timer turns them on each evening. We locate outlets and check for tripped GFCIs during the design visit so install day goes smoothly.
My Grand Prairie address uses a 75104 ZIP. Are you still able to come out?
–
Yes. Parts of Grand Prairie near Joe Pool Lake, including Lake Ridge sections around Tangle Ridge Golf Club, share the 75104 ZIP code with Cedar Hill. Give us the street address and we schedule the visit the same way.
