What Your Arlington Season Covers
One crew, one plan and one phone number from the design visit to January cleanup.
01
A plan drawn for your house
We walk the property, note every eave, gable and tree, and map lighting that suits a north Arlington ranch or a far-south two-story rather than a stock package.
04
Help when something goes dark
A strand that quits mid-December gets a service visit from our crew. You never troubleshoot a dark section yourself.
02
LED you lease, not buy
Commercial-grade bulbs and wire stay our property. You get a clean, measured display without paying for product that fades after a few winters.
05
January takedown
After the holidays the crew pulls every clip and strand, checks the roof edge and leaves the yard the way we found it.
03
Lines cut to your measurements
Every run is sized to your roof edges, so corners finish tight and no spare coil hangs off a downspout.
06
Labeled storage
Your lighting goes back to our shop tagged to your address, ready to hang again next season with no boxes in your garage.

Arlington Homes by Era, North to South
Arlington grew from the top down, and the houses show it. North and west of downtown, streets like those in Shady Valley Estates were built in the 1960s, with long single-story brick homes, low-pitched roofs and quarter-acre lots under mature trees. Interlochen followed in the 1970s, and much of south Arlington filled in through the 1980s and 1990s with brick homes that mix one- and two-story plans.
The far south, in ZIP codes 76001 and 76002, is mostly new construction from the last decade, where tall two-story facades, stacked gables and stone accents are the norm. A ranch looks right with one continuous eave line and lit shrubs. A newer two-story usually wants the front gables outlined, the garage edge framed and a single tree wrapped so the lower half of the house does not go dark.
1960s ranches: one long eave run plus wrapped trees
1980s–90s brick: front gables and porch columns
New two-stories: peaks, garage edge and entry
Stone and stucco accents: clips chosen to match
Mature canopy: trunk and branch wraps

From First Call to January in Arlington
01
Call or request a quote
Give us your Arlington address and the parts of the house you picture lit. Requests that come in by early fall have the widest pick of dates.
02
Walk the property
We measure eaves and gables, count trees, find outdoor outlets and ask about your HOA, gate codes and any lakeside wind exposure.
03
Approve and hang
Once you approve the written design, the crew installs on the scheduled day. You do not need to be home if outlets and side gates are open.
04
Lit through the holidays
The display runs on a timer. If a section fails, call 972-620-9560 and we book a repair visit.
05
Down and stored
In early January the crew removes everything and files your lighting in storage under your address for next year.
Arlington Neighborhoods We Light
Arlington is big enough that a home in Viridian and one near Tierra Verde barely share a weather pattern, let alone a roofline. We also hang lights for families just across the city line in Grand Prairie homes near Joe Pool Lake and in Mansfield neighborhoods to the south.
Interlochen
A 1970s neighborhood near Randol Mill Road whose residents have staged one of the region's most visited holiday light tours since 1976. Most homes here go big, so we design for slow-moving traffic and finish before the tour opens.
Shady Valley Estates
West Arlington homes from the late 1960s, some with golf course views near Shady Valley Country Club. Wide single-story brick fronts and established trees suit a continuous eave line and full tree wraps.
Tierra Verde
A south Arlington neighborhood in 76001 near the city-owned Tierra Verde Golf Club, with one- and two-story homes, some built as recently as 2020 and some in gated sections. Peaks, garage edges and entry columns carry these displays.
Viridian
Newer single-family homes, townhomes and custom builds spread across a 2,000-acre community with lakes, parks and trails. Two-story facades and water views make rear rooflines and patios worth lighting along with the front.
Lake Arlington area
Larger homes on the west side, some with water access, mixed with mid-century brick streets nearby. Lakeside lots take more wind, so exposed corners get closer clip spacing.
Lakes, Canals and Holiday Crowds
A surprising number of Arlington homes sit near water. Viridian, the 2,000-acre master-planned community in north Arlington between SH 183 and I-30, sets houses beside roughly 500 acres of lakes, streams and wetlands, and homes along Lake Arlington on the west side catch open wind across the water. Displays there get extra clips on exposed corners and are tested for movement before the crew leaves.
Interlochen is a different kind of exposure. Its holiday light display began in 1976, nearly 200 homes take part, and more than 100,000 visitors were expected for the 2025 season, the display's 50th, with cars moving slowly from Westwood Drive at Randol Mill Road. Homes on or near the route need lights finished before the tour opens and a design that looks good at idling speed. The Lake Interlochen HOA and other associations each set their own expectations, so we read your community's guidelines before we draw anything.

What Shapes an Arlington Quote
Quotes are built from the measurements we take at your house. These are the details that move the number.
Feet of roofline
A long 1960s ranch can have more eave footage than a compact new two-story. Total lit feet matters more than the size of the house.
Color and bulb style
Warm white, cool white, multicolor and patterns all work. Ideas from our notes on current holiday lighting styles can help you choose before the design visit.
Height and roof pitch
Steep second-story gables in south Arlington take more crew time and safety gear than a low ranch roof in the north.
Wreaths, garland and ground pieces
Lit wreaths, door garland, pathway markers and column wraps are added item by item, so you can keep the front simple or fill it in.
Trees and beds
Big established trees in older neighborhoods take more product to wrap than young trees in a new subdivision. Netted shrubs add a little more.

Arlington Home Lighting Questions
Have a question we didn’t cover? Call 972-620-9560 or request a free quote online.
Do you install Christmas lights on homes in Arlington?
–
Yes. We light houses across Arlington, from 76006 and 76012 in the north to 76001, 76002 and 76017 in the south, plus 76013 and 76016 on the west side. If you also manage a business or HOA entrance in town, our Arlington holiday lighting page for businesses and communities covers that work.
Do I own the lights, and how is this different from permanent lighting?
–
You lease them for the season. We supply, install, service, remove and store the commercial-grade LED, so nothing lands in your attic. Some Arlington homeowners prefer a track system that stays on the house all year; our permanent lighting option for Arlington explains how that differs.
When should I book, and when do installs start?
–
Late summer through early fall gives you the widest choice of dates. As general guidance, installs usually begin in early November and the calendar fills from the earliest requests forward. Homes near the Interlochen tour route should call early so the display is up before traffic builds.
How soon after New Year's does the Arlington display come down?
–
Once the holidays are over, usually the first couple of weeks of January. The crew removes every strand and clip, checks the gutters and roof edge, and takes your lighting back to storage. You do not need to be home for takedown.
Will my Arlington HOA approve the display?
–
Most do, but each sets its own rules. Viridian and other master-planned communities often address timing and placement, while older neighborhoods may have few rules at all. Send us your guidelines and we match the design and dates to them before install.
Could the clips scratch my shingles or bend a gutter?
–
We hang lights with clips that grip the gutter lip or slide under shingle edges. Nothing is nailed, stapled or screwed into your roof, and every clip comes off at takedown. On stone or stucco trim we choose fasteners that do not mark the surface.
Who handles power, outlets and the nightly on and off?
–
We plug into your exterior outlets and set the display on a timer, so it comes on at dusk without anyone flipping a switch. During the design visit we check outlet locations and tripped GFCIs. LED draws far less power than old incandescent strings.
Can my house be ready before the Interlochen lights open?
–
Yes, if you book early. The tour has opened in mid-December in recent years, and we schedule homes on the route ahead of that window. Gate access, parked cars and slow traffic are part of our planning so the crew finishes quietly.
