Residential Christmas Light Installation in North Richland Hills, TX
North Richland Hills started in 1952 as an all-brick subdivision on a dairy farm and grew into a city of about 70,000. We light homes from every chapter of that story, with a custom design, leased LED, installation, in-season repairs and January takedown.

What You Get With an NRH Home Display
Everything from the first measurement to the January pack-up is ours to handle.
01
Layout for your style of house
A low 1950s brick ranch and a HomeTown two-story with a front porch call for different plans, so we design from your house, not a template.
04
Season-long service
When a section stops working, a call to our office during business hours gets a crew scheduled to repair it.
02
LED you lease
We measure and cut commercial-grade LED to your eaves and porch, then lease it for the season so you never buy a box of lights.
05
Removal in the new year
We return once the holidays are over, typically early in January, and take down every strand and clip.
03
Porches, trees and canals
Porch columns, front trees and even the side of a house facing a pond or canal can be lit to make the most of where you live.
06
Storage with your name on it
Your display is boxed, labeled and stored with us until it is time to go back up next season.

Seventy Years of NRH Houses, One Display Plan Each
North Richland Hills began in 1952, when Clarence Jones subdivided his 268-acre dairy farm along what is now Cummings Drive. The first section held 188 homes, and construction there was restricted to brick and masonry; a second section in 1954 named its streets after automobiles. The city incorporated in 1953, annexed the old community of Smithfield by 1960, and grew from about 8,700 residents in 1960 to nearly 70,000 by 2020, filling in with ranch homes and later two-story subdivisions as it went north.
The newest chapter is HomeTown, a walkable neighborhood around the NRH Centre with brick sidewalks, front porches and a Canal District of homes along lakes and water channels. Each era asks for something different. Early brick ranches have long, low eaves and small front porches, so one continuous line and a wrapped tree look complete. HomeTown's porch-forward houses shine with lit columns, garland on the rails and an outline on the upper eave.

The NRH Install Process
01
Quote request
Send your address and what you would like lit. Calls in late summer and early fall get the widest choice of dates.
02
On-site design
We measure eaves and porches, check exterior outlets and talk through colors, themes and any HOA rules.
03
Installation day
Smaller ranch homes often take a few hours. You can be at work if outlets and gates are accessible.
04
All season
Timers run the lights. If a strand fails, call and we put a repair on the schedule.
05
Takedown
After the holidays the crew removes and stores everything, labeled for your house.
North Richland Hills Neighborhoods We Light
NRH stretches from the Loop 820 side of town to the northern edge near Keller, and its neighborhoods were built decades apart. Homeowners nearby can also see our pages on Haltom City home lighting and residential Christmas lights in Hurst.
HomeTown and the Canal District
Streets like Bridge Street, Ice House Drive and Montreal Mews put porches close to the sidewalk and some homes beside canals and lakes. Porch columns, rails and the upper eave carry the design, and canal-side homes can add the rear roofline for reflections.
The original Cummings Drive streets
The 1952 Jones farm addition and its 1954 extension, with brick and masonry ranch homes on streets named for local families and automobiles. One continuous eave line, lit shrubs and a wrapped front tree suit these low, wide houses.
Thornbridge East and Ember Oaks (76182)
Subdivisions in the 76182 part of the city, farther north than the original 1950s core. Street-facing gables, garage fronts and yard trees make up most designs here. For year-round yard lighting, see our North Richland Hills landscape lighting.
Diamond Loch
A street with a regional following, home to the #NRHGrinchLights display. Displays here are seen by a steady line of cars, so bold front outlines, lit trees and coordinated color give the strongest effect.
Smithfield
The older community annexed by 1960, now home to the city's transit-oriented district near its rail station. Established homes on mature lots light well with simple warm outlines and trunk wraps on older trees.
Diamond Loch, the Canals and Neighborhood Rules
NRH takes its holiday lights seriously. In Diamond Loch, a cul-de-sac of neighbors runs a large computerized show while the rest of the street becomes a Whoville scene known as #NRHGrinchLights, drawing traffic every evening through New Year's. If you live on a street like that, a display that looks finished from a slow-moving car matters, and so does a design that holds up to many nights of viewers. Homes along HomeTown's lakes and canals have a second audience across the water, and reflections double the effect of a well-lit rear roofline.
Newer neighborhoods such as HomeTown have associations and design standards, and some older streets have neighborhood groups that coordinate themes. We review any guidelines before designing and plan installation dates around them. Associations handling entrances and common areas can find details on our holiday lighting service for HOAs.

Inputs Behind an NRH Lighting Quote
Your NRH quote is built from what we measure on site. Here is what moves the number.
Total feet lit
A single-story ranch eave is a modest run. Two-story homes with porches, gables and rear elevations add footage quickly.
Color and effects
Warm white, multicolor, or a theme matched to your street's display changes what we cut and how it is arranged.
Roof height
Second-story eaves and steep gables require more safety gear and time than the low ranch roofs on the city's south side.
Porch and yard extras
Column wraps, rail garland, wreaths and lit walkway markers are itemized so you can add or remove each.
Trees and shrubs
Each wrapped trunk, canopy and lit hedge adds product and labor, with large mature trees on older lots taking the most.

Have a question we didn’t cover? Call 972-620-9560 or request a free quote online.
Do you install Christmas lights on homes in North Richland Hills?
–
Yes. We light homes across North Richland Hills, including 76180, 76182 and 76148, from the original 1950s streets near Cummings Drive to HomeTown, Diamond Loch and the northern subdivisions. Our North Richland Hills Christmas lighting page covers the commercial and HOA side of our work in the city.
Do I lease or buy, and should I consider permanent lights?
–
Seasonal lights are leased: we bring them, hang them, fix them and take them back. If you want a permanent track system that stays up and can change colors for other holidays, read about our permanent lighting around North Richland Hills. Many ranch homes do fine with seasonal lighting each year.
When should I book my NRH installation?
–
Late summer through early October is the sweet spot. Installs typically start in early November, and dates go to the earliest requests first, which matters on busy display streets where neighbors want lights up at the same time.
When does takedown happen in NRH?
–
We remove them after the holidays, generally in early January. Streets with displays running through New Year's Day can stay lit until then, and we schedule takedown after.
Do I need HOA approval in North Richland Hills?
–
In newer communities like HomeTown, the association may have standards for holiday displays, and we follow them. Many older NRH streets have no HOA at all. Either way, tell us about any rules and the design will match them. Learn more on our residential holiday light installation page.
Will clips or lights damage my brick home's roof or gutters?
–
No. We hang lights with clips sized for gutters, shingle edges and ridges, and we never nail or staple into shingles, fascia or brick. All clips come off at removal.
Do I need extra outlets or timers?
–
Usually not. We plug into your existing exterior outlets and add timers so the display runs each evening on its own. Older ranch homes may have few outdoor outlets, so we plan runs around them and point out any outlet that needs work.
Can you match the theme on a display street like Diamond Loch?
–
Yes. If your street coordinates a color or theme, tell us during the design visit and we will cut and place your lights to fit in with the neighbors.
