PROSPER HOMES

Residential Christmas Light Installation in Prosper, TX

Prosper's median home was built in 2015, and many are large brick-and-stone houses on generous lots. We design a display sized for that scale, lease you the lighting and manage it from install through January removal with the same seasonal Christmas lighting for homes we run across the Metroplex.

Six Pieces of a Prosper Season

Built for houses with tall facades and wide lots.

01

Scaled design

A 3,500-square-foot two-story needs a plan that balances roof, entry and yard, so we design the whole front instead of only the eaves.

04

Yard and drive

Larger lots leave room for lit beds, wrapped trees and pathway lights along the front walk or the driveway.

02

Lighting on lease

Commercial-grade LED is provided for the season only. Nothing is purchased up front, and nothing ends up stacked in your garage.

05

Service visits

When something goes dark, a single call sends a crew to fix it. Repair visits come with the season.

03

Fitted runs

Long eaves and stacked gables are measured and cut to length, keeping lines straight across wide facades.

06

Takedown, storage, repeat

In January the display comes off, goes into storage and returns next year from the same plan unless you want changes.

Prosper's Scale: Big Facades, Big Lots

Prosper was a farm town of about 2,000 people in 2000 and passed 30,000 by 2020, so nearly everything here is new. Citywide, the median home was built in 2015, the median lot is about 10,000 square feet and the average single-family house runs close to 3,500 square feet. Most are brick and stone two-stories with tall entries, front gables stacked at two or three levels and wide garage faces.

Scale changes the design. Outlining every edge of a big house can look busy from the street, so we usually pick the strongest lines, such as the main gables and the entry tower, then use the yard for depth. In gated estate sections with homesites of about an acre, like Christie Farms, the drive, the front lawn and the trees matter as much as the roof.

  • Main gables chosen over every hip

  • Tall entries framed with garland and wreaths

  • Wide garage faces outlined or left calm

  • Acre-lot drives marked with path lights

  • Lawn trees wrapped for depth

How We Light a Prosper Home

01

Property walk

We measure the facade, note gate codes or guard access, find the outlets and agree on which trees and beds to include.

02

Approve the plan

The proposal itemizes every element so you can scale the design up or down before installation.

03

Installation

Larger homes take longer, and we tell you the expected window ahead of time. Lighting is clipped in place, connected to a timer and tested.

04

Holiday service

Any outage during the season gets a repair visit once you let our office know.

05

January removal and storage

Once the holidays end, the display comes down and stays in our storage until fall.

Prosper Neighborhoods We Light

Communities across Prosper, from the Tollway to the Denton County side. We also light homes in Frisco subdivisions to the south and McKinney homes to the east.

Windsong Ranch

Known for its 5-acre lagoon, Windsong Ranch is planned for more than 3,300 homes, most of them brick and stone with four or five bedrooms. With a median lot near 9,000 square feet, the design leans on gables, entries and lit beds rather than big yard pieces.

Gentle Creek Estates

A golf community built around Gentle Creek Golf Club. Homes backing to the course are seen from the fairways, so a lit rear roofline or patio trees can be worth adding to the front design.

Glenbrooke and Doe Creek

Subdivisions in far west Prosper on the Denton County side, where students attend Denton ISD rather than Prosper ISD. These homes get the same full service, and we route installs and service calls to cover the west end of town.

Star Trail

An upscale community along the Dallas North Tollway with lakes and fountains at the entrance, a tree-lined drive and resort-style amenity centers. Larger two-story homes here suit outlined gables, wreathed upper windows and wrapped front trees.

Christie Farms

A gated Prosper community with homesites of about an acre. Long drives and open lawns invite pathway lighting and tree wraps, and gate access is arranged before install day.

Master-Planned Rules and Open-Country Wind

Most Prosper neighborhoods sit inside master-planned communities, and each has an association with its own guidelines on holiday dates, placement and sometimes color. We collect those rules at the design visit and plan around them. Boards that light shared spaces can work with our Prosper HOA holiday lighting crew.

Undeveloped land still borders many outer streets, and new homes there have few mature trees to break the wind. We fasten each run with that exposure in mind and look it over on every service visit. On lots facing open ground, a well-secured roofline and lit beds hold up better than tall freestanding pieces.

  • Association rules gathered before design

  • Install and removal kept inside HOA windows

  • Runs fastened for exposed lots

  • Freestanding pieces kept low on windy sites

  • Service calls cover weather repairs

What Drives a Prosper Lighting Quote

Large homes vary a lot, so every quote starts with a tape measure at your address.

Facade width

Wide fronts with three-car garages add footage quickly. Choosing which lines to light controls the total.

Look and palette

Warm white, multicolor and patterned designs each have different product needs, and this season's style trends can help you choose.

Height and roof stacking

Gables stacked two or three levels high need more equipment and time than a single eave.

Decor extras

Wreaths, garland, bows and lit pathway markers can be added one at a time, this year or later.

Trees and lawn

Wrapping several lawn trees on an acre lot is a bigger job than lighting two young trees by the walk.

Prosper Homeowner Questions

Have a question we didn’t cover? Call 972-620-9560 or request a free quote online.

Do you install Christmas lights on homes in Prosper?

–

Yes. We light homes throughout Prosper's 75078 ZIP code, from Windsong Ranch on the west side to Star Trail along the Tollway and Gentle Creek's golf-course streets. Our Prosper commercial and HOA lighting page covers community entrances and shopping centers.

Will I own the lights, or should I look at permanent lighting?

–

You never buy them. They are leased for the season: we provide them, install them, keep them working, remove them and store them. Permanent eave lighting is another route some Prosper owners consider, but a seasonal display can include garland, wreaths and tree wraps that a permanent track cannot.

How far ahead should Prosper homeowners reserve a date?

–

Call by early fall. Installs generally get underway in early November, and larger Prosper homes need more crew time, so an early request means a wider pick of dates. Prosper's annual Christmas festival is a common target for having lights on.

When do the lights come down?

–

We take displays down once the holidays are behind us, generally in early January. The lights, clips and cords all leave with us and go into storage.

Do Prosper HOAs allow Christmas lights?

–

Most Prosper communities allow holiday lighting, though associations set dates and placement rules, and some gated sections have architectural review. Share your guidelines and we plan within them before anything is installed.

Can installation damage a new roof or stone facade?

–

We clip the lighting to gutters and the edge of the shingles, so nothing is nailed or stapled through a new roof. Stone and brick are not drilled; the design uses the roofline, the gutters and freestanding pieces instead.

How is the display powered on a big house?

–

We plan runs to your exterior outlets and spread the load between them, since LED lighting draws little current. A timer handles on and off each night, and we note outlet locations on your design for future seasons.

Do you work in gated communities like Christie Farms?

–

Yes. Before install day we confirm gate codes, guard instructions or a resident pass with you, so crews arrive on schedule. The same applies to service calls and January removal.
