What a Mesquite Season Includes
From the first measurement to the final takedown, it is handled for you.
01
Custom layout
A brand-new two-story in Solterra and an older ranch near I-30 light very differently, and the plan reflects that.
04
Repairs all season
If something dims or fails before New Year's, call us and we will send a crew.
02
Leased LED product
Lighting is measured to your eaves, cut to length and stays ours, so you never wrestle with tangled boxes.
05
Removal
When the holidays are done we take the display down, so it is never left hanging into spring.
03
Installed by our crew
Insured installers clip the display in place, run cords neatly and test everything on install day.
06
Storage
Everything gets a tag with your Mesquite address and waits in storage until the next install.

Postwar Brick and Brand-New Builds
Mesquite was farm country until after World War II. Big Town Mall opened in 1959 as the first air-conditioned mall in the country, Town East Mall followed in 1971, and the population climbed from 1,696 in 1950 to 67,053 by 1980. Much of central Mesquite, from the streets near I-30 to the neighborhoods around Town East, is housing from those decades, with one-story brick homes and yard trees that have had fifty years or more to grow.
The newest homes sit on the edges of the city in master-planned communities. Solterra, built on a 1,400-acre former family farm with a 25-acre lake and more than 15 miles of trails, offers homes from 11 builders, and Polo Ridge and Ridge Ranch add more new construction. New two-stories usually have several gables, stone or brick accents and a tall entry, so we pick the lines that read clearly from the street. Older ranches get the opposite treatment: a single long eave, trunk wraps on the old shade trees and a glow along the beds.
Long ranch eaves lit as one clean line
New-build gables chosen for the street view
Stone and brick entries framed with garland
Mature yard trees wrapped on older lots
Young trees on new lots lit lightly

Mesquite Neighborhoods We Light
We cover Mesquite from the older streets along I-30 to the new communities on its eastern and southern edges. Garland homes to the north and Rowlett houses near Lake Ray Hubbard are close by too.
Solterra
Built on a 1,400-acre former farm around a 25-acre lake, with The Headquarters Club amenity complex and more than 15 miles of trails. New two-story homes here suit a gable-and-entry design that stays inside the HOA's rules.
Ridge Ranch
A newer neighborhood with its own pool and playground. Front gables, garage edges and wreaths on upper windows make a balanced display on the homes here.
Big Town Estates and Broadmoor Estates
Established neighborhoods in central Mesquite, closer to I-30 and Town East, where mature trees shade many yards. Long one-story eaves paired with a big wrapped yard tree make a classic combination.
Polo Ridge
A newer community that pairs homes with a planned retail center. Fresh construction and young landscaping mean the roofline, porch and front windows do most of the work.
Iron Horse
The neighborhood beside Mesquite Arena, home of the Mesquite Championship Rodeo in the city known as the Rodeo Capital of Texas. A simple roofline, a wrapped front tree and garland at the door look sharp from the street.
HOA Rules in Mesquite's New Communities
Much of Mesquite's new construction sits inside an association. Solterra centers on its eight-acre amenity complex, The Headquarters Club, and Polo Ridge and Ridge Ranch have their own HOAs with pools and shared spaces. Associations like these often have rules on how long displays may stay up and what can attach to a home, so bring your guidelines to the design visit and the layout is built to fit them. Boards that want their entrances lit can look at our HOA holiday lighting.
In new neighborhoods the trees are young, so the house and the entry carry the look. In older parts of Mesquite, mature shade trees often reach over the roof, and those can be wrapped from trunk to limb. Anyone who wants that glow past January can add landscape lighting in Mesquite.
HOA guidelines reviewed before design
Removal timed to association dates
Entries and porches carry new-build designs
Mature trees wrapped in older neighborhoods
No fasteners left in new roofing

Factors Behind a Mesquite Quote
Nothing is quoted sight unseen in Mesquite. After the measurements, these items carry the most weight.
Roofline footage
The total length of eaves and gables you want lit sets the base. Front-only designs keep it lower.
Colors
Single-color designs are simplest, and mixed color schemes call for more varied product.
Height and roof shape
Steep new-build roofs and second-story gables take longer to light safely than a one-story eave.
Decor extras
Wreaths, entry garland and pathway markers are optional, and each can be swapped in or out.
Trees
A mature tree on an older lot can take a lot of lighting, while young trees in new communities take much less.

Mesquite Holiday Lighting FAQs
Have a question we didn’t cover? Call 972-620-9560 or request a free quote online.
Do you install Christmas lights on homes in Mesquite?
–
Yes. We light homes throughout Mesquite in ZIP codes 75149, 75150 and 75181, including new communities like Solterra and Polo Ridge. Businesses and associations can see our Mesquite holiday lighting page.
Should I lease lights or buy my own?
–
Our lights are leased, so we handle the product, repairs, removal and storage and you never purchase a strand. For a display that stays up year-round, compare permanent lights near Mesquite, which can be used for every holiday on the calendar.
When should I schedule my install?
–
September and early October are ideal. Installs typically start in early November, and residents who want lights up before Christmas on the Square in early December should book well ahead.
What is the takedown schedule in Mesquite?
–
After the holidays, usually during the first half of January, or on your HOA's required date. We pack and store everything for you.
Will my HOA allow it?
–
Associations usually allow holiday lights but may set dates or placement rules. Forward your HOA packet and the Mesquite design will follow it from day one.
Will clips hurt a brand-new roof?
–
No. Nothing is nailed or stapled into shingles. Owners of new Solterra or Ridge Ranch roofs often worry about their roofing warranty, which is one more reason the lights hang from removable gutter and shingle-edge clips that leave with us in January.
How do the lights get power?
–
From your outdoor outlets, which we check during the design visit. We supply timers so the display runs on schedule each night.
Can you light a brand-new home before the landscaping fills in?
–
Yes. On new Solterra or Polo Ridge homes with young trees, we lean on the roofline, porch columns, garage and front windows, and add small tree wraps that can grow with the yard over the years.
