Holiday décor for both sides of Irving

Irving's districts differ in style, so the pieces we choose change with them.

01

Classic Heritage District pieces

Older blocks suit traditional garland, full wreaths and warm white pole swags that echo the district's history and look right next to vintage storefronts. We size each piece to the storefront scale.

04

Roofline and facade lighting

Warm white or color LED lines on city hall, libraries and civic centers make public buildings readable from the road at night. Every run is cut to fit the building, not stretched to fit.

02

Park and plaza tree lighting

Trunk wraps and canopy lighting turn park trees into the focal point of a civic lawn. Our parent company has cared for commercial landscapes since 1978, so trees are treated with care.

05

Arts and civic venues

Performance halls and civic centers welcome evening crowds. Entry wreaths, lighted trees and lobby décor give arriving audiences a warm holiday welcome. We schedule work around performances so crews are never in the way.

03

Contemporary Las Colinas accents

Modern towers and plazas call for cleaner lines: crisp roofline runs, simple lighted forms and tree lighting along canals and walkways. The look stays minimal so the architecture still leads the eye.

06

Holiday planters

Planters at city hall steps and plaza edges get holiday plant décor, picks and lighting, adding color at eye level where pedestrians actually look as they walk past.

One palette, two very different districts

Irving's Heritage District along Main Street feels like a traditional downtown. Las Colinas feels urban and modern, with towers and the Mandalay Canal. A single style would look wrong in one of them.

We pick one shared palette with city staff, then change the scale and style by district. Traditional garland and wreaths in the Heritage District, sleek lighting in Las Colinas, and civic sites between them that bridge the two. Residents see two distinct places that still belong to the same city.

  • Shared palette chosen with city staff

  • Traditional décor in the Heritage District

  • Clean, modern lighting in Las Colinas

  • Civic sites that bridge both styles

  • Interiors for town offices and lobbies

Our Irving process

01

Walk the sites

We tour each location with your staff, note poles, power, trees and rooflines, and agree on which spots matter most to residents.

02

Custom layout

Our team designs the display around your architecture and colors, then prices it site by site so staff can adjust scope easily.

03

Install before events

Installation is timed backward from your first holiday event, with crew hours chosen to keep streets and entries open.

04

Maintain all season

Service calls and maintenance run through the season. If something goes dark or shifts, call us and a crew comes out to fix it.

05

Pack it away

Removal happens on a date that suits your staff. Product returns to our storage, labeled for your sites and ready for next year.

Irving districts and landmarks

These Irving places shape how residents and visitors experience the city in December.

Heritage District

The Heritage District along Main Street is Irving's historic core. Pole swags, garland and wreaths suit its older storefronts, and local restaurants, shops and law firms can book matching décor with us. We work these blocks in quieter morning hours.

Las Colinas Urban Center

Las Colinas has office towers, plazas and walkways along the Mandalay Canal. Clean tree lighting and modern accents on public spaces suit its contemporary look. We keep pieces minimal so the architecture and canal still lead the eye, with lighting doing the seasonal work after dark.

Toyota Music Factory area

The entertainment district draws crowds for concerts and dining. Businesses there can book our commercial service so the area complements nearby public décor. Coordinated colors help the district feel like part of the wider Las Colinas look rather than a separate island of décor.

Irving Arts Center

The arts center hosts performances and exhibits all season. Entry wreaths, tree lighting on the grounds and lobby décor give audiences a festive arrival, with installs scheduled around performances. Its palette can bridge the traditional Heritage District and the modern Las Colinas look, tying the city together.

Lake Carolyn

The lake at the center of Las Colinas reflects light beautifully at night. Lighting on trees and structures near the shoreline can double its effect for people walking or dining nearby. We would review power and wind exposure at the shoreline on the site walk before proposing any lighting.

Purchasing and scheduling in Irving

A city with an arts center, an entertainment district and a busy downtown has a crowded holiday calendar. We gather it before crews are scheduled and work busy areas in quieter hours.

For purchasing, we respond to RFPs item by item, provide written quotes by district and send certificates of insurance for liability and workers' compensation. Districts can be phased in different years if budgets require it. Every document goes to one staff contact.

  • Calendar gathered before scheduling crews

  • Quiet-hour installs in busy districts

  • Item-by-item responses to city RFPs

  • Quotes broken out by district

  • Certificates of insurance before work

Irving cost factors

Each district has its own scope, so each can be priced on its own.

Tree size and count

Wrapping a few small park trees is quick. Lighting large canopy trees or a tall city tree takes more product, more lift time and more care.

Season length and service

Displays that go up early or stay up late cover more weeks of maintenance and service calls, which is part of the program cost and worth weighing early.

Poles and corridor length

Pole décor is priced per pole, so the length of the corridor and the spacing between poles shape the budget more than any other factor on a street job.

Number of sites

One city hall entry is a different job from a main street, three parks and two libraries. Each added location adds design, product and crew time.

District style and scale

Traditional street décor is priced mainly by pole and storefront count. Modern plaza and canal lighting depends more on tree size and linear feet. Each district gets its own line item in the quote.

Irving municipal lighting FAQs

Have a question we didn’t cover? Call 972-620-9560 or request a free quote online.

Can the Heritage District and Las Colinas look different?

–

Yes, and they usually should. We pick a shared palette, then use traditional garland and wreaths in the Heritage District and cleaner, modern lighting in Las Colinas. The city looks unified without forcing one style everywhere. Each district can be quoted separately.

Do you work with parks departments and downtown groups too?

–

Yes. City halls, parks and recreation departments, libraries, downtown associations and economic development groups all plan holiday décor, often on separate budgets. We can work with one department or coordinate several so the city's buildings, parks and streets share one design and one service contact.

Should our city lease décor or buy it outright?

–

Our holiday program is a lease. The lights and décor are commercial-grade LED product custom-fit to your sites, and we handle install, upkeep, removal and storage. Your city avoids buying inventory, testing strings each fall and finding warehouse space. Buying outright shifts all of that work back to city crews.

Can you work around Irving Arts Center performances?

–

Yes. We collect the performance calendar and schedule exterior and lobby work for open times. Crews install early or between events so audiences never walk past work in progress. Service visits during the season follow the same calendar, and takedown waits until the season's final shows are over.

Can you respond to our RFP or formal bid?

–

Yes. Send the solicitation and we will answer each item it asks for, from scope and schedule to insurance. If a requirement falls outside what we offer, we say so plainly in the response instead of guessing. Our office is open weekdays from 8am to 5pm for questions during the bid window.

Do you decorate private towers in Las Colinas?

–

Our municipal program covers city property. Office towers, hotels and businesses can book our commercial holiday service directly, and many choose colors that complement the city's palette. We can time those installs to finish alongside the city's own work, so the district looks complete at the same time.

Are your crews insured for work on public property?

–

Yes. Our crews carry liability insurance and workers' compensation, and we provide certificates of insurance before work starts. Our parent company is Carruthers Landscape Management, a Dallas family business founded in 1978 for commercial landscape management. Staff can request copies at any point.

Can you give us a written quote for council or manager review?

–

We can. After a site walk we put the scope in writing: each location, the décor at each one, the install window and the service plan for the season. Staff can attach it to a council packet or circulate it internally. Costs follow the factors on this page, never a one-size number.

Can Irving phase districts over several years?

–

Yes. Many cities start with the area that matters most this year and add another district later. Each phase uses the same palette, so the result looks planned rather than piecemeal. Each phase receives its own written quote, which keeps budgeting simple for staff.
