Included in Every Anna Home Plan
Six things you never have to handle yourself.
01
Design for a new house
Many Anna homes share floor plans with their neighbors. We find the gables, porches and stone accents that set yours apart and light those.
04
Lit beds and small trees
New landscaping is small. Netted shrubs, lit beds and pathway lights add depth while the trees catch up.
02
Leased lighting
The LED product comes with the service, so a first-year homeowner does not need to buy strands, clips or timers.
05
Repairs on call
If wind or a tripped outlet darkens part of the display, call our office and it gets fixed.
03
Cut-to-fit lines
We measure and cut each run to your eave and peaks, so a new roofline looks tidy rather than strung with spare cord.
06
Removal and storage
With the holidays over, we take everything down and keep it in storage until the next fall.

Lighting Anna's Newest Houses
Anna's housing is new. The median home was built in 2017, the median lot is about 6,500 square feet and the typical single-family house is around 2,200 square feet. Common elevations are one- and two-story brick homes with a front gable or two, a covered porch and often a front-load garage that takes up a good share of the facade.
On compact lots, the garage and the front gable are the two biggest lines a neighbor sees, so the plan usually lights both and adds a wreath or garland at the porch. Single-story homes can get a full front eave line with shrubs lit below it. A handful of older mid-century ranch houses still sit on quiet, tree-lined streets near the original town, and those mature trees give a design height that new subdivisions cannot match yet.

Anna Neighborhoods We Light
These communities make up much of Anna's housing. Homes south in McKinney's established and new neighborhoods and next door in nearby Melissa homes are covered as well.
Anna Town Square
One of Anna's biggest planned communities, with a city park and a planned mixed-use area. One- and two-story builder homes on compact lots suit a crisp front outline and a lit entry.
Sherley Farms
Planned for about 3,000 homes around a working organic farm, with sections still opening. We can light a home from the very first holiday season after move-in, then add trees to the plan as they grow.
Original Anna near downtown
Older streets around the historic town center, near the 1885 Anna Depot, include mid-century ranch homes on tree-filled lots. Long single-story eaves and mature trees make for a classic, balanced display.
The Villages of Hurricane Creek
A multi-developer community planned for about 1,000 homes, with pools, ponds and gathering spaces. Newer two-story homes here pair outlined gables with porch garland, and young trees get light wraps.
AnaCapri
A resort-style lagoon community planned for about 2,000 homes. New streets near the water and the amenity areas are open to the wind, so runs are fastened with care and checked on service calls.
New Subdivisions, Young Trees, Fresh HOA Rules
Anna is growing through large master-planned communities: The Villages of Hurricane Creek, planned for about 1,000 homes; Sherley Farms, planned for about 3,000 around a working organic farm; and AnaCapri, a lagoon community planned for about 2,000. Each has an association, and new associations often publish guidelines covering when holiday lights go up and come down. We read them before designing, and our HOA lighting service also lights entrances for boards.
Trees in these neighborhoods were planted with the houses, and a thin trunk cannot hold a heavy wrap. We use light wraps on young trees and shift the visual weight to the roofline, porch and beds. As the trees fill out over the years, the plan can move more onto them.
HOA holiday windows reviewed first
Light wraps that young trees can carry
Roofline and porch do the heavy lifting
Beds and walkways lit for depth
Design revisited as landscaping matures

Cost Factors for Anna Homes
New homes are easier to estimate, but every plan is still measured on site.
Feet of roofline
A single-story front eave is the smallest run. Two-story gables and garage edges add footage.
Color choice
Choose classic warm white, crisp cool white, multicolor or a pattern. Browse popular holiday color schemes before your visit.
Roof height
Second-story peaks take more equipment and setup than a ranch eave.
Porch decor
Garland, wreaths and bows at the entry are optional and quoted per piece.
Landscape pieces
Shrub nets, lit beds and young-tree wraps are small additions. Big trees on the older lots near downtown need far more.

Anna Christmas Lighting Questions
Have a question we didn’t cover? Call 972-620-9560 or request a free quote online.
Do you install Christmas lights on homes in Anna?
–
Yes. We light homes across Anna's 75409 ZIP code, including Anna Town Square, The Villages of Hurricane Creek, Sherley Farms and the older streets near downtown. Community entrances and businesses are covered on our Anna HOA and commercial page.
Lease each season or install permanent lights: which fits a new Anna home?
–
Seasonal leasing means no purchase and no storage, with a new design possible each year. Permanent LED lighting stays on the eaves and works for every holiday, and some owners of new homes prefer that. See permanent lighting options near Anna.
When should I book an Anna install?
–
September and October calls get the widest pick of dates. Crews usually start Anna installs in early November, and families who want lights on for the city's Christmas Tree Lighting during its 12 Days of Christmas events should call well ahead of that.
When is takedown?
–
Shortly after the holidays, usually early in January. The crew removes lights, clips and cords and takes them to storage.
My HOA is brand new. Will it approve the lights?
–
Most do, within set dates and placement rules. New associations sometimes update guidelines as communities grow, so send us the current version and we plan around it. If anything needs board approval, our written design can go with your submission.
Will clips damage the shingles on my new roof?
–
Our clips grip the gutter or the shingle edge, with nothing nailed, screwed or stapled through the roof. They come off cleanly at removal, which leaves a new roof as the builder finished it.
Do new homes have enough outlets?
–
Builders usually include a few exterior outlets, and LED lighting uses little power, so most displays run from them. We note where each one sits when we come out to measure, then program a timer for your hours. If an outlet is in an awkward spot, we plan runs around it.
My trees are tiny. Can you still light them?
–
Yes, with a light touch. Young trees get a modest wrap that does not stress thin branches, and we add lit shrubs or pathway lights for depth. As the trees grow, the plan can grow with them.
