Holiday pieces for Plano's public spaces
Plano programs can span a historic downtown, a large civic campus and an extensive park system.
01
Haggard Park canopy lighting
Mature trees in Haggard Park are made for trunk wraps and lighted canopies that glow at the edge of downtown and frame the walk from the DART station.
04
Wreaths for doors and windows
Oversized wreaths with bows on main entries and second-story windows. They are simple, read well in daylight and photograph nicely for city social posts and event flyers.
02
Holiday planters at entries
Greenery, picks and lighted accents in planters at building entries and along sidewalks. They add color at eye level where the rooflines and pole décor sit overhead.
05
Municipal Center entries
Wreaths, entry garland and roofline lighting at the Plano Municipal Center welcome residents arriving for meetings, payments and council sessions. Lobby trees inside carry the same palette to the counters.
03
15th Street storefront garland
Historic brick storefronts along 15th Street take garland and wreaths beautifully, giving the downtown blocks a finished, old-fashioned look. We fasten it so it holds through December wind.
06
Entry signs and monuments
City-limit signs, park entries and monuments get wreaths, garland and lighting that announce the season to anyone driving in. These pieces are small but seen by almost everyone.

Downtown décor that supports the season's events
Downtown Plano hosts holiday programming such as Dickens in Historic Downtown Plano, and crowds come for shops, restaurants and the DART connection. Décor has to look complete by then and stay out of the way.
We set install dates from the event calendar and keep fixtures and cords clear of walking routes. Pole swags line the blocks, storefronts get garland, and Haggard Park gets the glow. Businesses along 15th Street can match the city's palette under their own agreements.

Our Plano process
01
Site visit first
A crew lead meets city staff on site to measure rooflines, count poles and trees, find power and talk through what residents expect to see.
02
Design and written quote
You receive a site-by-site design and a written quote that staff can review, attach to a council packet or use to answer a bid.
03
Install and test
Our insured crews mount every piece, test each circuit and walk the finished display with staff before the season's first public event.
04
Service all season
If a section goes dark or décor is damaged, call our office and we schedule a service visit. Maintenance is part of the lease, not an add-on.
05
Takedown and storage
In January we remove the display, label each piece for its site and store it off your property until the next season begins.
Plano places on the holiday map
Plano has many candidate sites. These are the ones we would start with when touring the city with parks and facilities staff.
Historic Downtown Plano
The 15th Street blocks are walkable and lined with older storefronts. Pole décor and storefront garland create a holiday district, and restaurants, shops and law firms can book matching décor. We keep the pieces clear of patios and storefront doors so foot traffic moves freely all season.
Plano Municipal Center
The heart of city government. Roofline lighting, entry wreaths and lobby trees give residents and staff a welcoming setting through December. Interior décor near council chambers and service counters is placed to keep walkways clear for the many residents who visit during December.
Haggard Park
Right at the edge of downtown, with trees that suit canopy lighting. A lighted park gives event crowds a place to linger and makes the walk from the rail station feel festive. Paths stay clear of cords, and the lighting is tested before downtown's first holiday event.
Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve
A large park in east Plano where entry features and a few lighted trees near gathering areas can mark the season without disturbing the natural setting. Lighting stays warm and focused near entries and gathering areas so evening visitors feel welcome.
Municipal work, with homes available too
Our municipal service covers downtown, civic buildings, parks and town office interiors. Plano is also one of the cities where we install residential Christmas lighting, so city staff, downtown merchants and homeowners can all work with the same team.
For the city side, you get written quotes, responses to RFPs or requests for quotes and certificates of insurance. Crews are insured with liability and workers' compensation. Everything is leased, maintained through the season and stored after takedown.

What a Plano quote reflects
Pricing follows your actual sites and schedule.
Number of sites
One city hall entry costs less than a program spanning a downtown, two parks and three buildings. Each added location brings its own design, install and service time.
Poles and power
The number of light poles, their height and whether they have receptacles decide between lighted and unlit pole décor, which changes both product and labor.
Interior scope
Lobby trees, counter garland and office décor are priced separately from exterior work, by the number of rooms, trees and entries included. Both can be combined into one written quote.
Tree count and height
Trunk wraps and canopy lighting scale with the number of trees and how tall they are. Large canopies need lifts and more product than young street trees.
Event-driven install windows
Downtown programming sets hard deadlines. A tight window before a large event may call for larger crews or after-hours shifts, which shapes labor. We plan crews early to fit.

Plano municipal holiday lighting FAQ
Have a question we didn’t cover? Call 972-620-9560 or request a free quote online.
Can you have downtown ready before Plano's holiday events?
–
Yes. We plan installation backward from the event calendar, finish testing ahead of the first crowd and walk the display with staff. Cords and fixtures are kept clear of walkways and storefront entries. If dates move, we adjust crews. Staff approve the finished layout.
Do you work with parks departments and downtown groups too?
–
Yes. Requests come from city managers, parks and recreation staff, facilities teams, downtown associations and economic development groups. We can coordinate one design across several departments so the city's public spaces look like one program. You get a single contact no matter how many departments are involved.
Can staff get a written quote for council review?
–
Yes. After the site walk we put the scope in writing: each location, the décor planned there, the install window and the service plan. Staff can attach it to a council packet or route it for internal approval. Pricing is based on your actual sites.
Can 15th Street businesses match the city's display?
–
Yes. Restaurants, retail shops and law firms downtown can book matching garland, wreaths and lighting under their own agreement, so storefronts and pole décor read as one district. Their quotes are handled separately, and the same crews install and service both.
Who stores everything after the season?
–
We do. After takedown, the leased product returns to our storage, packed and labeled by location. Because it was fit to your sites the first year, it goes back up faster the next season, and your facilities team keeps its storage space.
Do you also install residential lighting in Plano?
–
Yes. Plano is one of the cities where we install residential Christmas lighting, including larger estates. Municipal, business and residential work are separate agreements, but you work with the same office and crews. Homeowners call the same number. Larger estates are welcome too.
Will pole décor fit our existing light poles?
–
We check first. On the site walk we note pole height, spacing, existing brackets and receptacles. Swags, wreaths and garland are then sized to those poles. If some poles cannot take décor safely, we tell you and design around them.
When should our city start planning holiday décor?
–
Spring or early summer is ideal, while next year's budget is still taking shape. That leaves time for a site walk, a design, a written quote and any council review. Requests in late summer still work, but fall install calendars fill quickly.
What paperwork can Plano purchasing expect?
–
A written, site-by-site quote with install windows and the service plan, certificates of insurance and point-by-point responses if the city issues an RFP or request for quotes. If a request falls outside our services, the response says so plainly, and staff can reach the office weekdays from 8am to 5pm.
