Landscape Lighting in Allen, TX
Allen's neighborhoods grew up fast, and now the trees are big enough to light. We design warm, low-voltage LED landscape lighting for homes, HOA entries and businesses across Allen.
✓ Homes, HOAs, businesses ✓ Insured crews ✓ Warm white LED

QUICK ANSWER
Allen landscape lighting is a custom low-voltage LED system: uplights on trees, path lights along walks, soft washes on brick and stone, and light for patios and pool decks. We walk the property, draw a layout, install with shallow cable and service it after. The same team also handles Christmas lighting for Allen homes.

Lighting Options for Allen Properties
Most Allen projects mix a few of these, sized to the lot.
01
Canopy and Moonlighting
Soft downlights mounted high in mature trees let light filter through the leaves onto lawn and walks below. It reads like moonlight and keeps big yards from going black at night.
04
Lighting for Peace of Mind
Fixtures aimed at fence lines, side gates, back doors and parking areas leave fewer dark pockets around the property. Timers keep it all on schedule whether you are home or away.
02
Front Elevations in Brick
Many Allen homes have tall brick and stone fronts with arched entries. Grazing light across the masonry and a focused wash at the door give the house depth and a clear focal point.
05
Backyards with Pools
Pool decks, pergolas and outdoor kitchens are common in Allen backyards. Soft downlight, step lights and accent light on the plantings let families stay outside comfortably after the sun sets.
03
Path and Walkway Lights
Low path fixtures mark the route from driveway to front door, along garden beds and out to the back gate. Guests see every step and edge without bright spots in their eyes.
06
Service After Install
Trees grow, beds get replanted and fixtures get bumped by mowers. We come back on service calls to re-aim lights, replace damaged parts and adjust timers as the seasons change.

Why Allen Yards Are Ready for Light
Many Allen subdivisions were planted fifteen to twenty-five years ago. The live oaks and cedar elms that were saplings then now have real trunks and canopies, which is exactly what uplighting needs.
A good design picks the two or three features that matter most from the street, lights them well and lets the rest fall into soft shadow. That restraint is what separates a finished look from a yard full of evenly spaced stakes.
Uplight the strongest trees first
Wash the entry and key masonry
Path light only where people walk
Keep side yards lit for safety
From First Call to First Night
01
Talk Through Goals
Curb appeal, safer walks, a usable patio, a lit sign, or all of it. What you want from the lighting shapes every choice that follows.
02
Study the Site
We note sight lines from the street and the patio, soil and bed conditions, and the existing outlets we can draw power from.
03
Design the Layout
You get a fixture plan showing what gets lit, which beam each feature needs and where the transformer and timer will sit.
04
Installation Day
Cable goes in shallow and neat, fixtures are staked or mounted, and the transformer is placed where it is out of sight.
05
Tune and Hand Over
We aim and dim each fixture once it is dark, set the dusk schedule and come back for service when you need it.
Around Allen
We plan lighting with each area's lots, trees and HOA expectations in mind. A few parts of Allen we design for often:
Twin Creeks
Larger lots, golf course views and mature trees make Twin Creeks a natural fit for layered lighting. Uplit canopies, washed stone fronts and backyard accents can be seen from the course side as well as the street. Backyards that face the fairways get patio and rear facade light so the house reads well from both sides.
Watters Creek Area
Homes and businesses near Watters Creek at Montgomery Farm sit close to a busy shopping and dining district. Entry, signage and walkway lighting help commercial frontage stand out without spilling into nearby homes. Residential streets nearby benefit from front-yard trees and entries lit in warm, low tones.
Star Creek
Star Creek homes often sit on generous lots with heavy tree cover. Moonlighting from tall trees and gentle path light work well here, and we keep fixtures shielded to respect neighbors and HOA guidelines. Lit walks under the canopy also make evening strolls and late arrivals much safer.
Celebration Park and Stacy Road
Neighborhoods off Stacy Road and around Celebration Park have younger trees and newer construction. Facade and path lighting carry these designs while trees grow into future uplighting targets. We size the transformer with spare capacity so tree uplights can be added in a later phase without rewiring.
One Team for Every Season in Allen
Allen is one of the towns where our Christmas Decor crews also hang holiday lighting on homes. That makes it easy to plan landscape and holiday lighting together.
The landscape system is offered under NTD, Nite Time Decor, our year-round lighting line. Because we already know your trees, outlets and rooflines, December planning starts from a map instead of a blank page. HOA entrances and Allen businesses get the same continuity.

Where the Budget Goes
Every proposal is built from the property, and these factors move it most.
Number of fixtures
Fixture count is the biggest driver. A front yard with a few trees and a walk needs far fewer lights than a full property with backyard, side yards, patio and pool all in the plan.
One phase or several
Many owners light the front first and add the backyard or patio later. Planning the transformer and wire for the full vision up front makes later phases simpler.
Transformer and power
Larger systems need a bigger transformer, or more than one, to keep voltage steady to the far fixtures. The location of usable outdoor power also changes how the system is laid out.
Brass, copper or aluminum
Heavier metal fixtures stand up to mowers, heat and weather better and age into a natural patina. Painted aluminum is lighter and less costly. Material choice shows up directly in the proposal.
Crossing paving and stone
Turf and planting beds are quick to work in. Getting under concrete walks, flagstone patios or brick edging, or setting lights into walls and steps, adds labor that we flag early.

Allen Landscape Lighting FAQ
Have a question we didn’t cover? Call 972-620-9560 or request a free quote online.
Can you light the big trees in my Allen backyard?
–
Yes. Mature live oaks and cedar elms are some of the most rewarding features to light. We usually combine two or more uplights on the trunk with optional downlights in the canopy, so the tree reads well from the patio and from the house.
Do Allen HOAs restrict landscape lighting?
–
Some ask homeowners to submit exterior changes, and rules vary by association. Warm white, shielded fixtures aimed at your own house and trees are usually simple to approve. We can share a layout and fixture details for your submission. That makes approval faster.
Do you also light HOA entrances in Allen?
–
Yes. Monument signs, entry walls, common-area trees and walking paths are part of our commercial and HOA work. We plan for visibility from the road and steady nightly operation, and we can coordinate holiday lighting at the same entrances. Certificates of insurance are available.
How soon can the lights be on?
–
After the site visit and your approval of the layout, we book an install date. Typical homes take a day or two of crew time, and we finish by aiming fixtures after dark. Spring and early fall fill up quickly, so planning ahead keeps your project on the calendar you want.
Are brass or copper fixtures worth the extra cost?
–
In many spots, yes. Solid brass and copper hold up to heat, sprinklers and the odd bump from a mower, and they age into a natural patina instead of peeling. Aluminum fixtures cost less and work well in protected areas. We mix materials where it makes sense and explain the tradeoff.
What is moonlighting?
–
Moonlighting is a technique where fixtures are mounted high in a tree and aimed down. Light filters through the leaves and lands on the lawn, walk or patio with a dappled pattern, much like a full moon. It works on large, mature trees and adds wide, gentle light.
How much will it add to my electric bill?
–
Usually very little. LED landscape fixtures draw only a few watts each, and a timer or photocell keeps them on only when you want. A typical residential system running nightly costs far less to operate than older halogen setups. We can size the schedule to fit how you use the yard.
What happens to the system in a big storm?
–
Low-voltage fixtures are built to sit outside year-round. Heavy hail or a falling limb can still knock a fixture loose or crack a lens. When that happens, a service call gets it re-aimed or replaced. Good mounting and placement up front keeps storm repairs rare.
Can the same team do my Christmas lights?
–
Yes. In Allen, our Christmas Decor team handles residential holiday lighting as well as commercial and HOA work, with design, installation, in-season service, removal and storage. Because we already know your trees, power and layout, holiday planning is simpler and faster.
