Ways to Light a Lewisville Property

Every system is low-voltage LED, sold and installed under NTD (Nite Time Decor), our landscape lighting line.

01

Trunks, limbs and canopy

Narrow spots trace a tall trunk while wider beams fill the canopy above it. Crape myrtles, live oaks and cedar elms each get a different beam and angle.

04

Outdoor rooms

Kitchens, fire pits and covered patios get task light where you cook and low, warm light where you sit, so evenings outside in Lewisville last longer.

02

Front elevation lighting

Wide, warm wash light across the front of the house gives it presence from the street, while narrow beams pick out columns, stone and the entry door.

05

Lit routes to the door

Drive, front walk, side gate and back steps get low fixtures that light the ground, not people's eyes. Guests find the entry and footing stays sure on uneven pavers.

03

Monuments and signs

A lit monument sign or community entry tells drivers they have arrived. We wash the lettering evenly, light the plantings around it and keep glare out of drivers' eyes.

06

Custom lighting design

Every plan starts on site, not from a catalog. We note trees, beds, materials and how you use the yard, then place each fixture with a purpose.

Timers, Photocells and App Control

A system is only useful if it turns on by itself. Transformers can run on a photocell that senses dusk, a timer that shuts lights off late at night, or both together.

App-based controls add zones and schedules you can change from your phone, such as path lights all night and tree lights until midnight. We set the schedule before the crew leaves your Lewisville property and show you how to adjust it when seasons and daylight change.

  • Photocell turns lights on at dusk

  • Timer turns them off when you choose

  • Separate zones for front, back and trees

  • Schedules adjusted as daylight changes

Lewisville Neighborhoods and Districts

Lewisville stretches from the lake to the Castle Hills area, with Old Town at its heart. Neighborhoods range from established streets to master-planned communities with strict design standards. Commercial areas along I-35E and FM 407 need dependable light every night. We tailor the plan to each setting.

Castle Hills

Castle Hills homes often have stone facades, formal entries and mature landscaping. Grazing light on stone, balanced entry wash and uplit specimen trees suit the architecture, and we keep light aimed onto the property. We also provide a layout for any community design review.

Near Lewisville Lake

Homes closer to the lake have bigger trees and outdoor living spaces. Moonlighting, deck lighting and sealed wet-location fixtures make back yards usable after dark. Lakeside lots often slope toward the water, so we add step lights on terraced paths, choose corrosion-resistant fixtures for spots exposed to spray and wind and keep light aimed back at the house.

Old Town Lewisville

Shops and restaurants near Wayne Ferguson Plaza draw evening crowds. Lit signs, entry plantings and soft path light make storefronts inviting and help visitors move comfortably from parking to the door. Shielded fixtures keep light on the facade and plantings, not in the eyes of people walking by on a busy weekend evening.

I-35E and FM 407

Offices and retail along I-35E and FM 407 need clean sign and entry lighting on a photocell and timer, so the property reads well to drivers without anyone on staff flipping switches. Durable fixtures in curbed islands stay protected from carts and mowers, so the system needs fewer service calls.

Light That Makes a Property Feel Safer

Good landscape lighting is quiet security. Instead of one harsh floodlight, we spread softer light across entries, side yards, gates, drives and the back fence line so there are fewer dark spots to hide in.

Steady, even light also helps doorbell and security cameras capture faces and plates. It keeps steps and walks safe for family and guests coming home late. For Lewisville homes and businesses alike, it does all that while still looking intentional from the street.

  • Fewer dark corners and hiding spots

  • Better images for security cameras

  • Safe footing on steps and walks

  • Softer than a single floodlight

How We Build a Proposal

We price every system from the property itself, and these are the factors that move it.

Number of fixtures

Fixture count is the biggest single driver. Lighting the front walk and two trees is a small project; wrapping the whole lot with path, accent and patio light is several times larger.

Property type

An HOA entrance, retail center or office campus has different demands than a home, from fixture durability and cable length to scheduling the crew around traffic and tenants.

Metal and finish

Fixtures near sprinklers, lawn edges and drives take the most abuse. Choosing heavier metals there and lighter ones in protected beds balances cost and durability.

Trenching and hardscape

Running cable under mulch beds is quick. Crossing driveways, boring under walks or fitting fixtures into stone walls takes more labor, tools and planning on install day.

Timer, photocell or app

A basic photocell and timer is the most economical. App control and separate zones cost more but let you schedule trees, paths and patio independently.

Lewisville Landscape Lighting FAQ

Have a question we didn’t cover? Call 972-620-9560 or request a free quote online.

How is a landscape lighting project priced?

–

We price from the property, not a package. Fixture count drives most of the cost, followed by materials, transformer size, cable distance and installation conditions like rock or hardscape. After a site visit you get a written proposal with those factors laid out, and you can scale the first phase to fit your plans.

Can you design within Castle Hills HOA guidelines?

–

We design many systems for communities with design standards. We keep fixtures discreet, use warm color temperatures, avoid glare toward neighbors and provide a layout and fixture list for your architectural application. Check your community's current guidelines before installation, and we will work to them.

How much digging does installation involve?

–

Very little. Cable is laid a few inches down in a narrow slit or tucked under mulch, so there are no wide trenches across the lawn. We avoid sprinkler heads and roots, close every slit as we go and clean up before we leave the property.

Why do you install LED instead of halogen?

–

LED lamps draw much less power, last far longer and keep their color well over time. That means lower running costs and fewer service calls. Warm white LEDs near 2700K give the same cozy look halogen was known for without the heat and constant bulb changes.

Can I control the lights from my phone?

–

Yes, with app-based control. You can set schedules, change zones and turn lights on for a party or off for travel from your phone. Simpler systems use a photocell that turns lights on at dusk and a timer that turns them off at an hour you choose.

Do you light HOA entrances in Lewisville?

–

Yes. We light entry monuments, stone walls, median trees and amenity-center grounds, with fixtures built for public spaces and an insured crew. HOA boards receive a clear written proposal and certificates of insurance on request. We can phase lighting across several entrances if the budget calls for it.

What should I tell my HOA about landscape lighting?

–

Most architectural committees want to see a layout, fixture types and finishes and confirmation that light will not spill onto neighbors. We can prepare those details for your application and design with shielded fixtures and warm color so the system fits typical guidelines.

Can you fix or add to a system another company installed?

–

Often, yes. We can inspect an existing low-voltage system, find failed connections or fixtures, convert halogen to LED and add new zones. If the transformer or cable is undersized for what you want, we explain the options before any work.

What maintenance does a system need?

–

Not much, but some. Once or twice a year fixtures should be cleaned, re-aimed as plants grow, checked for loose connections and timers reset for seasonal daylight changes. We offer service visits for systems we install, so the lighting keeps looking the way it did on day one.
