Outdoor Rooms We Light in Fort Worth
Each card is a space type we plan, hang and service.
01
Breweries and Beer Gardens
Long communal tables and open lawns suit parallel runs or a wide canopy. Commercial-grade cable and secure terminations let the strands handle crowds, yard games and weekend events.
04
Gazebos and Pavilions
Strands can outline the roof edge, drape inside the open structure or link the gazebo to the house with a lit span. We fasten to framing without marring finished wood.
02
HOA Amenity Centers
Clubhouse patios, community pools and pavilions get lighting that matches the neighborhood's standards. Access, timing and design are coordinated with the board or management company.
05
Balconies and Side Yards
Even a narrow balcony or side yard can carry a short run or two. We size the strand, bulb spacing and anchors to the space so it looks intentional rather than crowded.
03
Pool Decks
Lights stay well above the water and back from the pool edge, with runs planned around ladders, slides and umbrellas. The result is a soft glow for evening swims without cords on the deck.
06
Service After Install
A burned-out bulb, a loose span after a storm or a strand that needs moving: we handle service calls on our installs so the patio stays ready for guests.

Patio Lighting That Works Every Service
For a restaurant or bar in Fort Worth, a dark patio means empty tables. That is why commercial runs get extra attention: each strand is tensioned on support wire, connections are protected from rain and bumps, and controls sit where the closing manager can reach them.
We schedule installs around your hours, often before opening, and when a bulb fails or a span loosens after a storm, a service call gets the patio back to normal.

Our Five-Step Process in Fort Worth
01
Call the Office
Reach our Dallas office at 972-620-9560, Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, and tell us about the space in Fort Worth you want lit.
02
Visit at Dusk
When it helps, we look at the space near sunset to see existing light, sight lines and where shadows fall across the seating.
03
Plan the Controls
Decide on a switch, dimmer, timer or smart plug, and we place the controls where they are easy to reach every evening.
04
Light It Up
At the end of the install we power everything on, walk the space with you and adjust any run that sits too low or off line.
05
Grow the System
Adding a pergola, outdoor kitchen or new seating area later? We extend the system from the existing anchors and power source.
Fort Worth Districts We Light
Fort Worth has deep patio districts and historic buildings that call for careful mounting. Many backyard requests come from older neighborhoods with mature trees and porches built for evening use.
Magnolia Avenue and Near Southside
Magnolia Avenue's restaurants, bars and breweries depend on patios. Older buildings and narrow lots mean short, tight runs, careful masonry anchors and poles where a patio faces the street or a parking lot. Edison-style bulbs fit the brick storefronts, and timers keep the patio lit through service.
The Stockyards
The Stockyards' historic district draws crowds to saloons, restaurants and event spaces. Edison-style bulbs suit the setting, and hardware is chosen to respect historic brick and heavy timber. Shatter-resistant bulbs and protected connections keep the patio working through busy weekend nights.
Fairmount and Arlington Heights
Older neighborhoods like Fairmount and Arlington Heights have porches, detached garages and mature trees. Spans from house to garage or trees create an outdoor room over the backyard. Tree-safe straps and a pole or two finish the canopy, and a dimmer keeps the glow relaxed.
Sundance Square
Downtown around Sundance Square has hotel terraces, rooftop bars and restaurant patios. Exposed rooftops need poles and support wire sized for wind, with every run tensioned and every connection secured. Weighted or fixed pole bases protect the roof while every span holds tension in strong gusts.
West 7th and Clearfork
Mixed-use districts like West 7th and Clearfork combine dining, apartments and offices. Amenity decks and courtyards here get commercial-grade runs planned for steady, year-round use. Timers keep lights on schedule for residents, and service calls run through the property manager. Shatter-resistant bulbs suit busy pool decks.
Lighting Around Pools and Spas
Pool decks are one of the most popular spaces to light and the one where planning matters most. Strands stay high and back from the water's edge, power stays on GFCI-protected circuits, and no cord crosses the deck.
In Fort Worth backyards we plan runs around rock features, slides, umbrellas and pool equipment, then add a dimmer so the glow stays soft for night swims. Shatter-resistant LED bulbs are the usual pick near water.

Power from GFCI-protected circuits only

Budget Drivers to Know
These choices have the biggest effect on scope and cost.
Number of Runs
A single perimeter outline uses far fewer strands, clips and anchors than a dense zig-zag canopy. The pattern you choose sets most of the material list for the job.
Site Conditions
Slopes, tight side yards, landscape beds and pool equipment can complicate pole placement and ladder setup, which adds time compared with an open, level patio.
Mounting Surfaces
Brick, stone, stucco, wood and metal each need different hardware. Hard-to-drill surfaces and historic materials take more time, more care and sometimes specialty anchors to mount correctly.
Combined Services
Pairing bistro lighting with landscape lighting, or with holiday lighting on commercial properties, can share anchors, power and site visits, which changes the overall scope.
Install Timing
Commercial work scheduled before opening, after close or around booked events can change crew scheduling, and the scope is planned with your calendar in mind.

What Fort Worth Customers Ask
Have a question we didn’t cover? Call 972-620-9560 or request a free quote online.
Will attaching lights hurt my trees?
–
Not when it is done right. We use tree-safe straps that spread the load around the trunk instead of nails, screws or wire wrapped tight. Straps are sized so they can be loosened as the tree grows, and we check them during service visits.
Do you install bistro lights in Fort Worth, or only in Dallas?
–
We work across Dallas-Fort Worth, including Fort Worth restaurants, bars, venues, apartment communities and homes. Our office is on Goodnight Lane in Dallas, and Fort Worth projects are planned and installed by the same crews. Call 972-620-9560 to schedule a site visit for your property.
Can you run lights across the yard to a pergola or tree line?
–
Yes. Long spans are common. We anchor to sturdy trees with tree-safe straps or set poles where there are no trees, tension support wire across the gap and add intermediate supports on longer runs. The result is a lit path or canopy that pulls guests out into the yard.
Can you light a restaurant or brewery patio to commercial standards?
–
Yes. Commercial patios get heavier cable, tensioned support wire, protected connections and runs set high above standing guests. We plan around umbrellas, heaters and server paths, place controls where staff can reach them and schedule installs around your hours. Certificates of insurance are available before work begins.
Can you add landscape lighting along with string lights?
–
Yes. Many customers pair overhead string lights with landscape lighting on paths, trees and the house. Planning both together lets the systems share power and controls and keeps the overall look balanced, with the bistro canopy above and softer accents below.
Do you light pergolas, gazebos and covered patios?
–
Yes, and they are some of the easiest spaces to light well. Strands can follow beams, cross the top in a lattice or trace the perimeter of a solid cover. We use clips sized for the framing and route cords inside the structure for a clean finish.
Can permanent string lights be used for events at my property?
–
Yes, and that is one of the strongest reasons to install them. A permanent canopy over a lawn or patio is ready for birthdays, graduations, receptions and community nights without renting and rigging lights. For larger events, we also offer special event lighting.
Are your crews insured for commercial properties?
–
Yes. Christmas Decor by Carruthers Decorative Lighting carries liability insurance and workers' compensation, and certificates of insurance are available for property managers, landlords and venues. Let us know who needs to be listed and we will send the certificate before work starts.
Can I control the lights from my phone?
–
Yes. Smart plugs or smart switches rated for outdoor use add app control, schedules and voice control on many systems. For larger properties, separate zones can run on separate schedules. We recommend options that work with the strands and dimmers on your system.
